You could try googling patches for the PC version. I think I had a similar issue, and I just looked for the latest patch.

In Humongous games there are some instances where you have to press . To skip dialogue. Just use the period key at that one point

I am fairly new to speedrunning, but after watching some runs and the fact that I love this game I'd like to start speedrunning SA2B. I've been practicing and getting reacquainted with the game, but I'm looking for resources to help me get better. I'm still trying to get used to nuances like mech movements, emerald piece locations, memorizing certain skips, super bounce, etc. Obviously these kinds of things probably take a ton of time to learn, but any kind of help would be appreciated.
