In the autosplitter version, yes, but not the original if you're using a separate timer. If this glitch was to be allowed, then all runs using this glitch would have to be done in the original because the remix skips the intro cutscene.

Huh? Does that mean the glitch is only present in your version? Because if that's the case, it shouldn't be allowed because it is not present in the original version.

Can you please clarify? What do you mean by "reset the date?"

Anyways, I think that it should be allowed, but the time used for going through the entire game again should be counted. So basically it will be meaningless.

Yeah, I don't know where I should draw the line between a glitch and a non-glitch, but I think I'm going to say that it isn't a glitch, since if Mario was able to do a similar jump in a real Nintendo game, it wouldn't be considered a glitch.

He means long jumping off of an enemy which makes Mario go up very high. I think it should stay, because it was probably intended. However, clipping into a ceiling with it should be banned.

Yeah, it probably is, but 1.1 is more QOL, and I probably won't need the three options anyways, so I think I'll be fine. (For now.)

One more thing to talk about here! The clip does NOT require the shell, killing the octoomba, OR spinning. You just need to jump at the wall in the right way, it's just like the glitch in CP. I mentioned it in my CP guide. You need to "skim" the wall to make the clip, it's easy.

I have a lot to talk about here, so brace yourselves :( First, if you are creating such a project, I encourage you to separate the new code from the old one (eg. move it to a new sprite) because the mods are going to have to check that the mod (lol) didn't change the core script. Second, I have made a similar mod before (I trashed the project), so I can confidently say that the built-in timer and the autosplitter is surprisingly easy to make. You just have to know which function does what thing. Third, in my opinion, we don't really need a replay function, because we can just record the speedrun instead. Also, it would make it hard to determine if a run is TAS or RTA. Finally, in completely unrelated news, I made a very simple mod yesterday where you can practice later sections of the run without having to do the whole game every time.
