Hey, I've been considering submitting this for GDQ as well. It recently got rejected for Californithon 2017 but on the condition that it would be hard to explain this game (they did recognize that players familiar with KTANE would be very interested in the speedrun gameplay). However, I find that there is a surprising amount to talk - the modules, the little time savers, the mnemonics - and a good couch would be vital. To be honest I would prefer running the game as opposed to couching, but in either case I would love to provide as much commentary as possible. (What is your PB by the way? It seems the mods haven't been active updating the leaderboards lately.)
I'm available any time Saturday and Sunday (no Friday).
To me "any%" means reach the canonical end of the game as quickly as possible (i.e., the final bomb in the list) whereas "extreme%" indicates reaching an alternate ending: the last extreme bomb. Of course that's just a silly justification since extreme% is a subset of any% anyway. Personally I never liked the idea of a category that only partially completes the game (unless exotic bombs didn't exist at some point - in which case the categories would be named after the patches).
There's an Extreme% leaderboard for just the first six chapters so that category already exists. (at that point, I'd encourage you to complete Any% anyway since you would be so close to the end ;) But do whatever works for you )
I posted a guide about some of the memorization techniques I use, which could hopefully inspire others to tackle memorizing this beast of a manual.
