@Koune i think any controller can be used as long as it fits the controller restrictions at the end of the rules
@DJBunyan while i absolutely share your mentality, i don't think he said he wasn't going to run it in rejection case lol; and for the sake of the the leaderboard, better asking than just submitting if it isnt allowed lol
note that mods will retime your run anyhow when verifying it, so you dont need to resubmit it again (restarting your position in queue) if you realise the time is wrong
the limit for verifying tecnicaly is 3 weeks
im p sure it isn't faster than the walljump, but can't confirm
how would the category work in your purposement, like highscore IL's getting max. score in one playthrough of them or smth?
@attreon np :D and yea is perfectly fine to use google drive for videos, it works p much like youtube
Tutorial Skip is actualy quite simple, for it's easiest way, if you are in version rc4-rc5 (it went patched in rc6 for an entering reword), you can get close to the tutorial, and just HOLD the action key, but NOT RELEASE it yet, and get away; tutorial will get marked as completed without you having to enter the game.
As I said about the version, well in the link of the game change the number in "rc7" for other to access a different version (ex.: rc5).
In the other hand, TSS is mostly use in warps category as you can instantly warp, but is also a very little bit faster in warpless if you feel like going for it fast; basicaly consists on skipping the tutorial instantly without activating the warp, which is also allowed in warpless
@Altois EllaTAS's point is probably that, precisely for how simple it is, it could be quite easy to somehow show up a wanted seed that you prepared for and sneak it as if it was for the random
I thought your first post was alredy something like "do a speedrun of it- oh wait this has been inactive for months". Apparently you then edited a day later the post for it to look like you didnt realise, and then commented how you "realised" for the 2nd time. Odd stuff
the run previous to the competition starts the timer on starting new game, while currently runs are being timed from the first input
also @Camcorder i'll reiterate Arc's question because im curious about it too. "what’s the limit for stories. Like what makes a story important enough?"
In first glance, and witth the explanation from Camcorder, this sounds like a solid cool idea.
With the purpose of making more known smaller games or comunities that people would like to writte about, i don't think this semi-informal journalism should be paid by popularity with the whole purpose of getting money out of writting essays. I kinda believe that would make the enviroment a lot less genuine/authentic than it is like this (I hate the videogames journalism world for problems like that).
If you want to get paid with journalism, just don't do it in SRC. But I think this could turn very well if done correctly.
@warthogwillow kinda late, but basicaly spamming fast enough the input in the tutorial is possible to kill the ghost without ever getting past the tutorial, idk how is it exactly
times in this game update every 5 seconds, so it would be marked at 5:10 in that way
but yea, having more clicks from before i would say is possible to get to 5:05 in that scenario
what does it take so many hours in this game lol
@Edzio_Filipek happened to me too, im p sure there is some kind of system built to reject runs faster for that kind of misses, so that you don't have to wait all the time twice for something so trivial
but yea, verification does take absurdly long in this game lol
