Mod note: Adjusted to 58:19 per your splits in the video. Nice run! Glad to have you here :)
Right on. Thanks for the heads up. Logged in to 16 notifications all for this game lol.
Hey there,
I'm a current moderator of The Legend of Korra leaderboard. https://www.speedrun.com/tlok
I'd like to formally request the removal of our current Super Moderator. They have been inactive on this site for 2 years. I've tried contacting them through DMs on this site, twitter, and twitch to see if they were still interested in moderating the game, but it's been a week and I haven't received any responses. I'd like to become the new Super Moderator if the removal of the current one goes through.
Thank you, DD
So are the individual arc categories for new game+? I'm interested in doing some new game Golden Age runs, but I'm not sure if that's a category on the board. Thanks!
Hmm...well if you ever have any concerns, feel free to contact me!
Hey Patrick, been a while o/
Sorry for the delayed response, I've been on vacation for the last 2 weeks.
I'm not quite sure what the apologies are for? You've never done anything worth apologizing for! Were there some issues you wanted to talk about, but never had a chance to? All of us pretty much stopped running the game regularly, so the community has been fairly quiet, but the discord is still up :)
Hi all,
I've recently been doing some runs on the Wii VC version and can't seem to do much about significant slowdown in some stages. Noticing the leader board is mostly made up of SNES runs, I gotta confirm my assumption...
Does the Wii VC version of the game run poorly compared to the SNES version?
Yo! I'm in the process of making a tutorial for any% normal, most of the strats should carry over! There's an older tutorial video out there already for it, but it's pretty bad XD

Use the Naga swipe attack.

No specific routes. I suggest choosing one route and sticking with it. There's a trick to save a few seconds overall, though. Turn corners as early as possible. You can turn around corners much earlier than it seems. This gets Korra moving down the next alley that much sooner.
Good luck!
-Sometimes if you set up air tornadoes before the giant spirit pops out of the ground, it spawns with 0 health.
-The best strat is to set the controller down and walk away. But in actuality, not really. I guess staying in the middle lane as much as possible to make dodging attacks easier. And like Xycon said, keep the water shield up. If mine goes down I always slow down and wait for it to recharge. I'd rather lose a couple seconds than restart the whole fight. And there are little things you'll develop just from playing it so often.
-There's a cool trick I like to do. If you remove the Chi Crystal once the fight begins, you keep the benefits of having max chi but the health penalty is removed. So you basically get double health for that fight. And then yeah, the jump + ground punch has great range and hits twice each time. Try to get some of the little dudes caught up in it, cause they'll drop health pretty often.
Since there are no rules currently defined for this category, I'd like to request they be added. Something like:
-Extreme difficulty
-No item/bending restrictions
-Timing starts at chapter 1 select and ends at last hit in the pro-bending game in the credits.
NG Extreme?? Dang, that's gonna be brutal. Good luck!
Hey there! I sort of timed it before. I basically picked an alley in Republic City and timed how long it took to make it from end to end. Straight running took an average of like 8 seconds, where the Y+dodge took just over 7 seconds. I didn't test it super thoroughly or anything, just enough to convince myself that it was indeed faster.
I was actually preparing to make a tutorial video of the entire run this week. I definitely don't know everything about the game, so the video is just going to cover what I do during my own runs.
