Just re-read again, yes those are the conditions. I have more questions, though.
Is this category still on the cookie clicker category extension discord, and/or is it getting its own discord?
Is using the broiler still legal?
Is using baking parchment paper still legal?
Can a small amount of milk be added to the cookies? I found this in a thin cookie recipe from ATK. Also, this recipe makes cookies that are thinner than required at the edges just by spreading (and I believe this to be the case with a lot of cookie recipes?)
Should there be a minimum amount of chocolate chips?
Just to confirm, the cookies must be on camera at normal speed the entire time they're cooling with no cuts or skipping between end time and post-run requirements.
If I were to submit a run making a different type of cookie or a different baked good, would a new category be created or would my run just be rejected?
That's all my questions for now, thank you!
Are the start and stop conditions still “touch first ingredient” and “oven closed after last batch extracted”?
Could vegetable, canola, coconut, olive, sesame, or corn oil be used instead of butter in the IRL Cookie Baking category? This could save time since none of these ingredients need to be melted and are considered valid substitutes for butter in cookie recipes.
New question: Can the cookies be cooked on a frying pan?
From looking at the rules, it seems like you wouldn’t be able to call time since no batches of cookies leave an oven.
However, using a microwave could potentially be a faster way to reach the fully “baked” state, although this is only known to work on a couple cookies at a time. Although these cookies might not count as baked since they were never in an oven and microwaving the cookies would give them a rather mushy texture.
According to google cookies can also be made in a skillet/pan or in an air fryer, although the air fryer might count as a convection oven. An oven is still the best at cooking all the cookies at once, though.
Also I am not a mod do not trust me.
