What does 1.00 - 1.001 / 1.02+ mean?

hey people! im extremely new to speedrunning, so obviously i wont understand many terms or such. but i just wanted to confirm, the tab on each of the speedrun selections named "1.00 - 1.001 / 1.02+", does that mean the version of the game? and if so, without altering settings of undertale on my PC [my preferred way of playing undertale], what will i put a speedrun into? hopefully its not too hard to understand, felt like i waffled on a bit there but to cut it short and to simplify it: if i just run undertale without altering the version, do i submit it into the 1.02+ category?

thank you.

The numbers included when submitting a run are the specific versions.

From my understanding, 1.0/1.001 were created prior to the Console Ports of Undertale, and overall lack any patches.

1.002+ was created after the console ports, and alter the inputs in such a way where several techniques became harder, and in some instances impossible to do, and include the option for Japanese text, which typically Japanese text is faster than English due to having less symbols.

If you're running on the latest version, it's 1.002+. If you want to play 1.0/1.001, check the Guides section of this sr.c page for more information.
