if you are interested in speedruns on the console version, here I explain what the following bugs and tricks are at the moment unless they are fixed

for the console version in my experience it is easier to control on the Switch version with JoyCons in the controls and faster item selection but everyone has their own experience with this

1F Bear Skip: This trick is doable as on the PC version but is done a tad differently on consoles, you have to press down at the right moment to skip the bear 1:36

Bear Skip (Menu): There is also a Bear Skip by skipping using the menu, it's not useful in Easy/Normal Mode but on Extra it saves time considering you don't have to run to the gift room and turn around to do it, run up to a point 1 grid away from the Black Cat and then press left and fast button to open the menu, if you don't stop then the skip won't work, this skip is difficult but it's on 1F and you can still reset on this safely

4F going through a hole in the floor: I can't remember what the trick was called but on Extra it's similar to the PC version to escape through the chimney but at the kitchen entrance the holes don't appear as you sweep left and down so it saves a bit of time

1. Ellen Skip: This trick was discovered almost a month after the release of this game and the steps you need to follow are, open the menu while entering this trigger, hold left and exit the menu and you will manage to skip the Ellen pop-up animation, this skip saves 5 seconds, remember to hold left otherwise you will not manage to skip the trigger, here a video showing how to do it
2. Skull Skip: This trick works in a similar way to the Ellen skip but it is very difficult to perform because you have to skip it from the bottom at the perfect moment and perform it quickly, for beginners I recommend not performing it due to the fact that it is very difficult here a video of it

Info for this trick, skipping triggers still works on skulls after pulling levers but it is not useful because in order for water to appear you have to enter the trigger with the skull otherwise it will not appear because water appears when you enter the trigger with the skull and not when you pull the lever.

Escape from Ellen:

1. Escape from Ellen (Extra Mode) is identical to the PC version but on the console version for some reason the blood doesn't slow Viola down so this makes it easier to escape and you can walk around her safely
2. if you're doing True Ending it's worth knowing that it's quicker to wait for Ellen to enter the room first and then take the knife because she'll appear quicker and it saves a bit of time
