So the practice codes that are in the "Resources" section require you to download a custom save file (which I assume boots into the codes.), but would using this custom save file with the cheats disabled (and booting straight from the wii no homebrew) would this be allowed as I plan on saving if I ever do a speedrun (I suck) or would I have to remove my memory card (I don't have a second card). The .gci file used for the practice codes isn't actually a set of TTYD save files. It just sits on the memory card and is loaded up when the included .gct file is present in the codes folder. It's perfectly okay to keep the practice code .gci on your memory card during runs if you're loading the game straight from the Wii without homebrew. It won't interfere with you saving the game like normal.
