I just want to start this off by saying I DO NOT believe that Cryptones has intentionally cheated in the 36:50 run, just that there is a speed difference between that run, runs that I have done and runs that I have seen others do.
Please see the video HERE where I demonstrate the difference between "normal" runs of the game, cryptones WR video and a run I did not long ago where this "speed glitch" occurred.
As you can see there is a noticeable difference between the runs. It's something that was noticed a few months ago but after investigating the footage I could not explain why so I decided against bringing it up.
But when the speed glitch happened to me. (and it was obvious when I got a 20+ second improvement on my 1st split). I knew I had to bring this issue to light.
I actually thought that to myself when i originally watched Cryptones WR video. It looked ever so slightly faster but i never really looked into it or questioned it.
It'd be nice to actually speak to him but its unlikely that hes still active on speedrun.com since he set that WR 4 years ago.
