So.. we have a bingo board now...

So, in an effort to expand our community a bit, I have started working with www.bingosync.com to create a plugin on their site for Transistor. The boards goal list is built off of the assumption that the runner(or runners if you want some friendly competition) knows the common any% speedrun and expects them to do additional fights or go out of their way to get extra cut scenes, lore objectives, or to do weird skill based challenges for the goals.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and I can provide the goal listing if you guys want to see all the goals that are in the available pool. Also feel free to ask me any questions if a goal is unclear because I know I can be a bit cryptic. Hope y'all have fun with it! >.<

Well from what Ican seee by the goals in a card I just generated, some things will just be a no-go if you do simple bingo. By that I mean Not using Jaunt in a primary slot except at the beach means you don't do any skips and you significantly slow down. If you could send the goal file we can check together if some goals like that are unbalanced and what we could replace them with.

Sure, here is the pastebin: https://pastebin.com/5HYRJZDc Some of the goal are REALLY obnoxious but that is by design. It and "no Load in primary" are meant to intentionally slow down the run and increase your fight count. This could be a good goal to take if you have some high kill count fights you are interested in for target process kills, especially if those line up with other pre-fairview/pre-concourse goals.

As an addendum, let me explain the weirder, less clear goals:

The "Humless hum" goal is hitting the hum command and red being silent. As far as I'm aware, the only place red does this is right before the vanilla spine fight basically telling you to skip that skip.

Change the weather in the bay: Use the OVC in Bay 2 to choose between snow or rain

Have 2 two-way conversaitions with the transistor using the OVC terminal: Before spine and in Bay 2 there are OVCs where when red chooses to comment she typpes out her side of conversations with the transistor. Hit them both

Archive 3 posts at OVCs(fairview): All 3 OVCs in fairview have the archive option after you get the info. Hit all three

Watch the 4 non-travel cutscenes: The telescope in bay 1, bridge overlook in canals, flatbread in highrise and breakroom in concourse towers

Check 6 different bodies: check platt, moyle, sybil, royce, asher, and finally the narrators bodies

Have the transistor tell you how it really feels(I hate you%): in the concourse towers in maintenence, if you bounce back and forth on a launch pad enough times, the transistor says he hates you. DO IT!!

Play fetch with some Help: Get Luna in the beach to knock around the beachball for you

Listen to the transistor ramble(damn%): In the flashback scene before sybil, the transistor rambles to himself for a while if you leave him alone without approaching. Let him talk until he curses his current state.

Be locked out of 4 skills at one time/Be locked out of 5 skills at one time: For these I think if you break 3 skills, slot in 3 new ones and break them before they are restored it would be sufficient.

Respond to 6 audio OVCs from Asher: Hit every OVC in Concourse Towers to get all of Royce's back and forth about him and Grant.

Kill the 3 cluckers in highrise (wooo%): There is a triple clucker fight in Highrise that is near to the Beach exit. When you complete it, the spine sickened transistor gives a half-hearted 'wooo'

Eliminate all the cells in the lady 3.0 room: In Bay 2, the room with the 3 Lady 3.0s contain a ton of cells. After a few are collected they all start popping. Just make sure all the small ones are collected or self-destruct.

Get told you are going the wrong way 3 times: regularly throughout the game, the transistor says things like "noting back that way" or " I think we already got everything over there." Just get 3 voicelines to that effect, use your best judgement for if a line applies.

Get your picture taken 10 times: have a snap shot use it's flash attack (where here picture shows up) at least 10 times throughout the run.

Get told you are mean(Overkill%): in turn, using a skill 5 times on a already dead enemy (according to damage calculations) will change the text from "overkill" to ""you are mean". Make sure to fire it off. (Ping might be required for this)

Take 15 actions in a single turn challenge: Have 15 commands entered into a turn at once(Ping might be required for this or jaunt as a passive)

10 spine friendly fire kills: Have the spine's tail kill 10 process. Respawned cells count as additional kills.

I think that's all the less-than-clear flavor goals. I know some are weird but I think they encourage more exploration of a great game so that is why I would like for them to stay in. Tell me what you think!

For me that goal: After bay, don't use jaunt in a primary slot unless at the beach, is a main point of imbalance, and most people that run it won't even think about it, because playing without jaunt doesn't just stop you from doing skips, it just slows everything down. There's alternatives for load, spark or even breach. There's no alternative for jaunting. Other than that there'll probably be a bit of balancing required for the other goals but they look fine in general. I understand that you want to force the players to play differently than in a normal run, but removing jaunt is such a mosntrous handicap it'll just kill possibiliites on the bingo grid

Sounds good, feel free to run it a few times and tell me if there are any other changes that need to be made. Updates are a complete re-submission so I would like to submit a couple of changes rather than just one.
