There is few TAS'es with fastest mode of Super Mario Bros, includes PAL ROM on NTSC FPS, but they are not optimal, which makes confusions between this TAS'es and normal PAL world record by HappyLee. People can't understand what TAS is better. To avoid confusions I did my version of PAL TAS World record (That was so hard!) and made another video with playing it on NTSC mode, which is 60.098 FPS instead of 50. So the current best time is
04:51.74 on PAL with normal timing and 04:51.70 with TASvideos.org timing, idk how they got 2 frames faster.
04:02.720 normal timing with NTSC mode, It is fastest playthrought of Super Mario Bros ever, becuase this fast mode sometimes happens in real consoles and not real cheating (but still NOT LEGAL).
Here I did a my version of 4:54.03 TAS where I did visual slowings, but didn't lose time. I hope it is nice thing. For more information read description of the video. Also I make little show of slowmotion highlights. I hope you will enjoy.
My old TAS'es in old post was outdated so here a new threaed for TAS'es of Extension Categories. There is my Pacifit TAS, which probably can be improved only by 1 frame, so looks very beautiful and perfectly. Bullet bill glitch not allowed. Other things are mostly sames, but there is a lot of small difference.
I think that very intresting style of speedruning beetwen TAS and standart RTA is real time segmented speedruns, when we can make lot of save states, but every trick must be done in real time. I don't know why this style not very popular in Super Mario Bros. If any% world record is pretty near possible real time segmented run, in other catgoeris it is can be very nice to see what time is exactly possible for RTA, because most of TAS tricks using perfect thins, like perfect backward jumps and crouch jumps. So I perfomed to you Super Mario Bros Done Quick in 4:55.756 , every segment for it was done live on stream. Left+right can be allowed to segmented. And I hope that people can do a lot of cool segmented speedruns. Making segments and video edit took for me like 11 days. Not that it is the best run, just wanted to do all useful tricks. Can somebody tell me how to use left+right/ s+q in bizhawk? This is not for leaderboards, I just want to do my own run in category with left+right just for me.
Can one of moderators please check my 10 days old Over the Flagpole world record? Also I got Softlock world record.
I don't even know what happened, but I passed throw place, where you must to grab energetic ball, like in glitchless world record. But it didn't shoot. Looks like trigger delay, but I didn't use wait or lowing FPS. Run failed, but also nice box edgebug at the end.
I tied Beat 1-1 as Fire Mario world record on BizHawk. No reason to submit it, but this really true WR, which: 1.Was streamed. 2. Done on BizHawk, where S+Q impossible and frame counter very useful for timing run. 3. I use all innputs of this video in TAS editor of FCEUX and make some different variants of it. But it isn't work. Is this tutorial right? Pleas write in what emulators real to do flagpole glitch with this method and is it possible to do it on FCEUX TAS? Please sorry, if I'm stupid TAS'er
Why in level leaderboard FDS category not divided to 2 categories - Mario and Luigi? It's will be really intresting to run all levels in 2 very different categories.
