And ROMaster2 for the quick answer snipe. I am defeat.
Run it yourself, post it to youtube, then if you click the 'Games' button on the top, and look to the top right, you should see a button for requesting a game. The direct link is http://www.speedrun.com/requestgame . If that doesn't work for you, add an s for https://www.speedrun.com/requestgame because sometimes the site acts funny.
Anyway, the rules have apparently changed (I wasn't around for the previous rules) where in order to submit for a game, you're supposed to submit your own run with it, so you'll need to do that. Then you just wait a week or two for Kirkq to review things and give you mod ship. He'll set up a basic page and then you'll create the rest. You're welcome to get help with things however you want or need.
This depends entirely on the game and then run you're doing. Some games have incredibly active moderators who get things done lickety split. Some games have good moderators that just can't spend every waking minute of the day on the website and might take a week or so to get it reviewed. Also, the length of your run can hinder things too. Some game runs are hours long, and not everyone can sit and watch an hour long (or more) video in one sitting and might have to split the video up into multiple parts to review over a few days.
Hey there!
Feel like running God Eater 2: Rage Burst but don't want to run the category that's up already? Write me a little forum message here (I have it followed so I'll get notified when you do) asking about what categories you'd like to see added to the game.
Due to the nature of the game though, and how most people tend to try to beat specific monsters fast, or specific levels, and there being so many levels and optional difficulties, I'd rather create categories on a case by case basis rather than fill out a huge list of them all at once and have a billion empty categories and levels.
So, lemme know what you want and chances are I'll probably get it added, and might even compete against you. If I add something and no video is submitted after a while, I'll probably just delete the category until a run for it is made.
Ichimarnold is totally justified in asking because the current mods have been offline for 3 months already. If people actually took the time to read the original post it says that exceptions can be made for mods inactive ~3+ months.
Irony is when a person jumps down your throat about this when they have been guilty of it so recently.
A few other things to try then.
First, check which outputs your TV is capable of outputting to. Then make sure only those boxes are checked on the playstation's output settings.
Second, make sure the cables from Elgato to TV are functional. Replace with another cord that you know is functional. There's also the possibility that, if you're using an HDMI cable, that the HDMI cable is unidirectional and you need to just change the way the cable is plugged in.
Did you turn of HDCP protection? If you don't have that setting turned off on PS4, you will have issues. It's in the system settings and is just a check mark box. With it turned off, you won't be able to use some programs, like Netflix and other video things, but the Elgato should work as long as it's set up to pass through with the right type of cable.
If HDCP is turned off, go to your Elgato settings in whatever broadcasting software you're using and make sure the cable type selected is the cable that you're using.
@CriscoWild Why not do a run, then submit for the leaderboard on your own, the way everyone else does it? Then you'll be a mod for the game and you can set it up however you like and build up the community.
I should note here too, even if it may potentially be too late, if you spy on Ebay for things like Elgato or other products, they quite frequently show up under Buy It Now for quite a bit cheaper than standard auctions. I picked up my Elgato HD, with extra cords, for about 65 bucks (with shipping and handling included). That all depends on how patient you are though.
I remember playing Darkstone and hating it, and yet still playing it for over a hundred hours at least. I'm honestly very surprised there are no runs of it listed here.
I can't say anything about how well the dongles work since the only capture card I've ever used is the original Elgato HD, but if your computer has the CPU to power it, you can always go the emulation route for the absolute cheapest recording since you won't require a capture card at all.
Well, this mostly depends on the site you're streaming on. Twitch, which is a staple, limits you to 48 hour long streams.
Well, this could be a lot of things. A -lot- of them.
And to be completely honest, your best bet is to go to OBS's forums, post your computer specs and diagnostics, and have one of the pros there help ya.
PSX era gamer. Welcome. I always love me some CTR and Bust a Move, and I haven't heard the name Croc since before the dual analog controller came out! I'm not even sure I knew there was a second one.
I think it depends on what you're on the game's page for. If you're interested in running a game, and not just there to look at the scores, then chances are you'll click the guides and resources page alike. Unless you don't like free knowledge, that is.
After over 100 attempts you are still I,able to clear one specific spot? Is there a way for you to save before the hard spot so you can specifically practice it until it's easy for you?
In regard to my favorite answer for a feature, the system is probably being introduced on Tuesday¤.
¤Which Tuesday is anyone's guess.
I don't think anyone is under any obligation to search for anything before asking a question. Sure, he could have found the right spot on his own but literally the only thing he didn't do right was put the post in the already opened and frequently looked at thread. No need to be a jerk.
I don't know the full story by any means, but it's not just approving games. The same guy has to go through and handle many other things on SRC, including moderation requests which look like a huge drag, adding and changing platforms, babysitting angsty speedrunners, changing account names and deleting accounts...
At the top of the page there is a button that says games. Click it, and it will by default show you all the games recorded on this site by the number of people that have run it.
