Finlandim not exactly sure what you are asking and you should really ask in the re7 discord but assuming you are using an autosplitter. they arent made to split at certain splits. an auto splitter splits whenever a certain event happens no matter which split you are on.
lets say your splits are currently on level 4 and you beat level 7 the autosplitter was made to split for completing level 7 so it splits even though you are on the split for level 4.
make sure to launch livesplit as administrator. if that wont help ask in the cry of fear discord for help
ask in the smw discord. i can only assume you are not using the right emulator or rom or something
dont remember the name but there are at least two visual autosplitters. you give them pictures of frames where you want too split and then it looks at your game feed and sends the split key to livesplit if it recognisez the image of a frame you gave it
livesplit allows you to manually input in game times. or make a google sheets sheet that will add your times together
it would only be a problem if you were getting like top 10 times in a very popular game or the rules were unnecessarily strict
not sure how its creepy or "stalker-y". very few people look at others profiles and even when you do you usually just go through the runs.
and usually the games you visit most often are the games you run the most so the visit count barely even means anything.
but yes like already said you can turn it off if it really bothers you
the reason i see why people used to use it was to have a separate thing to record the raw gameplay and then obs would capture the amarec window so the stream could also see it.
nowadays you can just run two separate instances of obs
most people do it the proper way of having splits on the left but every now and then youll see someone with splits on the right
