It's just Pokemon Speedruns rules. If you notice, the only language allowed for most games are English. Some games have JP categories, and some allow any language (Stadium, Ranger, Snap, probably a couple others), but most games are English only to keep a consistent amount of text in every game

USB Loader is generally not allowed for any game. I noticed the fast loads for All Events but didn't really put 2 and 2 together

The game in the series is called Battle Revolution, and I always submit it and call it as such. I don't think the name needs to be changed since people already know what the game is.

I actually mentioned having both to RDA when he was redoing these leaderboards. I think it would be a good compromise to have both. It's not that I think IGT is bad, just that RTA makes more sense that's all.

OK, the leaderboards are much better then they were. Yes, if the rules have mistakes, just tell him. There's no point in bitching about something so minor, it's an easy fix. For N3DS thing just....lol. So many people of many speedgames have to buy a new console to be fastest. Speedrunning has a lot of Pay to Win in it, it's how it was, it's how it's been, it's how it will be. In game time for Classic doesn't make a whole lot of sense since the game doesn't keep track of it. That would be like timing a Mario Kart run by the time the runner gets on every track and adding those up. Also, 99% of the leaderboards look pretty damn good if you ask me

Pokemon Speedrunning rules state you must have the entire window of the emulator in the recording and you can't do that with ISO loader. So no, I don't think you can, sorry ;-;

Yeah that makes sense. It's one of those "In theory" things where NTSC-J is faster by the looks of it. Maybe if I ever really wanted to grind All Treasures ( Kappa ) I'll get NTSC-J.

So I would assume that NTSC-J is fastest for All Treasures due to lowest weight?

I'm aware of the differences Guide made by IceCube, but it's hard to understand which version is better. According to HSS's route, the differences between NTSC-J and NTSC-U does not make a difference for the route. However, its a 350 Poko difference according to IceCube's guide which I imagine has to matter. PAL seems to take way more time due to weight, but are there any other region differences that change the run?

Having every single area also as "Main categories" clogs it up so much and I think really should be made misc.

Since completing an area takes the shortest path possible (See here: Any%), its weird there are no "All Stages" categories per world

I think All Areas should be its own category (which I think won't require you to beat non-mandatory Pokemon) and then an actual Any% should be included that just gets through the normal Areas required to reach the end fastest

idk what to do about the Alt Worlds tho. Maybe make them all misc. categories and do the same to each individual area?

Manaphy has been kinda awful to do lmao. My PB is 1:26 but I gave up momentarily to work on optimizing Area 1. After I get a 0:11 or better in Poochyena I'll go after that Manaphy record
