I grew up with Pole Position II (7800) as one of my favorite, most-played games, and might have some interest in running it now. Wondering how to proceed, since the 7800 version doesn't seem to be the same as arcade. thanks :)

I see that they're lumped together here, but (and I could be wrong) I don't believe the Atari 7800 version is the same as Arcade in terms of timing, difficulty, etc.

The developers responded about the load time issue-- they were a student team who are about to graduate. They wanted to shorten the load times but weren't able to in the time they had. The game probably won't receive any updates (which is fine of course, just reporting)

Just wondering, you other folks running the game- what are your load times like when hitting 'new game'? I timed a couple, one was just over a minute and the other was 47 seconds. I'm not sure if the load times get longer when you have the program open longer or what, but it sure does make resetting for runs frustrating (this is the only reason I haven't cleared through to a better time yet lol).

I've talked with the devs, and lastly I asked them if it would be possible to add a 'restart' option from the in-game menu to at least save SOME loading time. I'm waiting to hear back on that one =)

It's a cute simple 3d platformer, very short (all one world). I like the aesthetics :)

The top runs' video links are dead. The last one on the board has a video but its awful quality (no offense, runner :P)

I keep improving little bits over my posted time, but I can't get anywhere close to the record. I don't really notice lag while I'm playing but I think it's definitely happening because I'm not losing ¤that much¤ time. Not a huge deal just a curiosity.

I've tried all of google's answers (like adding the -w/-window/-windowed etc in the launch stuff, etc)

I'm a long-time NBA Live/2k simulator (I like to do team management) and do that fantasy draft where you take the worst all the time. I'd love to do this- as long as we include showing our settings screens. I've simulated enough to know how huge a difference even small tweaks on that stuff can make. :P

Very strange how that happened today, I did like 10 total attempts today and those were the last 2, and almost exactly the same time.

Not sure if that matters to anyone, especially for Elmo. Haha, just thought I'd point it out.

I was wondering. Both scores submitted show answering the questions, but that isn't required to win the game itself. You can fail every question in the final round and still get 'One Win'.

If it's required that's totally cool, I was just checking in case that hadn't been considered. Maybe a separate category?
