- Minecraft: Beta Edition has been split and renamed to 1.16 Beta Solo and 1.16 Beta Coop.
- Glitches are now banned from the Beta boards.
- All Achievements is now on the main board and not in Misc.
- Any% Peaceful has been added into Misc (read the category rules for more info)
- All Discs has been moved to the main IL board and renamed Obtain All Discs.
Unfortunately input split would cause way more problems and broken categories than platform splits do. Because of console not being able to downgrade, anyone with a controller could downgrade to gain advantage on a particular category. On top of that, chest contents differ between platforms so it puts more of a disadvantage to certain categories that rely on loot. There might be a few more minor reasons that i can't think of atm but right now we're trying to make categories as fair as possible for everyone and platform split has caused us the least issues so that's what we're staying with. @Mr_ZigZag life doesn't work like that buddy. If you have zero verifying experience, plus have never submitted a bedrock run before then there's no chance.
Kill bosses has been merged into the All Bosses Categories in MISC on the main leaderboard. Please refer to this thread: https://www.speedrun.com/mcbe/thread/hxobk As for now we don't plan on creating new categories soon, however we will be updating the Category Extension main board sometime soon for easier browsing.
RULES UPDATED Changes:
- No betas are allowed in IL's.
To explain, we don't want the risk of any more categories being broken. Betas are basically works in progress which means seeds can be drastically different compared to the full-release, and certain features could give an advantage. Here is a list of betas we won't be accepting in IL runs: 1.16.0.51 - 68, 1.16.20.50 - 54 & 1.16.100.50 - most recent beta.
EDIT: from now on, cause we can't be bothered to go through all the existing runs and reject.
The Kill Bosses leaderboard in Category Extensions is currently being merged as a variable into All Bosses on the main board! Please be patient while the runs are being moved over and please refrain from submitting to Kill Bosses until the maintenance is complete. Thank you!
guys this forum isn't about taking sides against each other, it's for helping people with questions they might have about the boards. Yes it was just a copypasta, but it was unnecessary and the question was already answered so please refrain from causing havoc.
I wish we could, as i completely understand what you mean, however it’s been allowed for longer than i can remember so it’d be incredibly difficult and time consuming to find and switch every run using a different input to the corresponding platform. If you are able to think of a suitable way for us to change this then let us know, but for now there isn’t much we can do. Sorry about that!
