I don't check the board often and even though I've set it up so anyone who PMs me elsewhere will get their run submitted, I want to be able to take over as supermod and give access to a few of the more active runners to add newer categories and verify new runs coming in to help with my constant absence. The original supermod, whyareall has been inactive on the boards for over 11 months.

I'll leave that on them, I'd love to give speedrunning this game a try if emulation can be allowed to a capacity. I should probably do more testing to make sure loading times are on par or different with other versions of the game (can only test this with video footage of other versions), so I'll see about that. I also understand regarding emulation given how big of a deal it can be to the ability to run a game (as an example, Kingdom Hearts speedruns are not allowed to be on emulator), and it's a whole new ball game given this is a PS3 game and PS3 emulation is only now recently coming together due to dedication put towards making it functional and compatible.
@xDrHelix Pretty much all codes are gone. Best Buy was known to be the last place to buy the game and it's DLC (around mid 2016) and not only was that out, people reported that some of the codes didn't even work. For now, it's gone for good.
@speedwerd From my experience loading times might be slower? I'm not too sure given how starting up the game maybe took longer than the 360 demo did for me back then. Emulation for PS3 is still super finicky, especially with 3 different ways to compile the game with varying speeds. As for the PS3 version itself, no surprise that it's got disadvantages tbh
Hey, I've considered interest in running this game but due to it's circumstances I have no way to play or buy the game anymore. However, the game is very playable thanks to RPCS3 which is a Playstation 3 Emulator that with builds dating back to June 18th can play the game as it was originally intended (almost no graphical glitches, steady 60fps framerate). Could emulation be allowed, and if not what conditions would a emulated version of the game need to do so?
If you ask me, I'll wait till it makes it to the public release. But when it's out I can get it set up if you so wish!
i still think it'd be fun to solve. Huge amount of coordination would be required to make sure all players can efficiently shoot n stuff

The Boss Rush is available once you beat the game if you haven't yet.
From what I remember, in each level you normally run to the far right side, have to pick up a train ticket and run back. The path you use to get back are usually the only way to return back to the train as the game will prevent you sometimes (not all of the time) from simply walking back the way you came from. I haven't played the game in awhile and when I ran it any attempt I had of fidning shortcuts were often cut and the game forced me to run through the whole level.
Also, sometimes the alternate route back is the only way you can find the passcode. Since the slip is random you have to pick it up in order to leave.
If it works definitely give it a shot, as my run is far from optimized. I'll update it if you can show it in action!
I've been doing runs of the Easy Difficulty for Boss Rush, is that a possible category that could be added?
I might consider doing a run on PC later, could you add that as a console for the game?
Has anyone wrote anything down regarding the exact paths/shapes that appear in the stages? All of the enemies and the moves required to defeat them all seem to be set.
Oh, are we not allowed to use any of the characters beyond the starter two? I think we can still have multiple of the same character though 4 players.
Just wondering, might sound like a interesting speed game with friends.
Super late but i'm also wondering about this as well, since playing co-op with friends is really fun.
