New category idea: Cave%

The goal is to finish the "cave" (as I call it), in the moon kingdom.

So we start once the ground is hit in the area (when gravity is normal). And ends once once out of this area through the final gate.

(please, someone can do the speedrun, and respond to this Post with the video, I didn't have time)

Yeah, nice idea to speedrun cave, cause its not do it in the major part of the runs that are not AUM or 100% In all case, is just like a part of the game, a part of that kingdom, so I dont think Will be accepted for a full run In all case, I should add it like a part-game in the level leaderboard not logical?

Even if it's not added I will Speedrun it but later cause my switch got bricked on any%

KilleDragon the most sad thing about this is that I had it only 2 months but I will have it fixed in about 3 weeks (I'm not being consistent cause the guy in the service was inconsistent as well)

would it start from a savefile that has or has not beaten any%? it matters because of madame brood

Please could you make it so that you don't have to do Madame Broodal at the end of the cave. It could easily ruin the run for you and therefore the category could be quite annoying to run (cave Madam Broodal is annoying to fight). I would Speed run it though if becomes a category

It's short, not like Any%

A couple of things to think about: -The entrance to the moon cave is black, so it's hard to see when the fadeout happens (unless you move the camera to the side) -Starting the timing at fadeout would also add an extra load which might have an effect (even if it's tiny) on physical vs digital -Starring timing when mario lands seems like a good option: we need a specific frame for when the timing technically starts -Should runs be with or without madame broode? (I don't think sub-categories are a good idea) -Should runs have the cage already be broken or not? (The cage around one of the wires)

Okay, thought about it: -The timing starts when Mario lands, so that it's easier to time it. The specific frame for the timing would be the frame Mario starts his landing animation. (The one that happens when you fall from high up) -The runs should include Madame Broode. She's not that difficult, after a little practice you can beat her first try. -The cage should not be already broken. In my run, to make sure it wasn't already broken, I would go to a different save file every time I reset past the cage. It comes backs when you reload your save.

Maybe this is to add actualy much, but, if the category be created, we can just have 2 subcategories, with madame broodal and without it, no? In all case, the only change is that final part, so well, I dont know...
