I am wondering how it is timed since I didn't understand the rules,

is it timed by each individual race and nothing else, or is it timed by each individual race and getting back to the odysee going to kingdom to kingdom and all of that??

Timing starts on"GO!" of the first race and ends at the end of the last race. It is timed RTA, which means that it is the real-world time between starting and ending.
