What is the best way to record switch gameplay without a capture because I can’t get mine to work

You could just point a camera at your TV screen.

I suggest trying a better computer, and if that’s not your problem, than try getting a better capture card. Or like pear said, just record the screen with a camera. Also you may just need to adjust the settings on the video. If you don’t use OBS for your recording and streaming, I suggest it as you can change the video quality settings easily using it and can usually result in a better recording
