Does anyone know if it is possible to kill the ogre with just 1 parasite coming out of its back on the normal difficulty? Typically its always 2, and I know it's possible to do 1 on amateur, but I wasn't sure if you can do 1 on normal as well?
Interesting, have you done it yourself Snow? So I guess literally every bullet needs to hit the white blister on the parasite from the get go. I wonder if it's easier to do when Ndesu is closer to you, with less distance for the first bullet to travel? Gonna have to try this.
Supposedly it's easier when both players are at 30fps, but I've done probably 30 runs that got that far, attempting the one-cycle pattern every time, on all different framerate settings (30, 30/60, 60/60, unlimited), and never got it once. It's been done on both console and PC though. Keep in mind that your connection quality probably affects your odds as well.
Yes. Outrage and me were the first team to ever do it. (his POV) And honestly, I have no idea. It's just a lot of luck and good connection. Auddy and JC have also done it.
Awesome, thanks for the link snow. I've heard there's difficult scaling where the more you die the easier the game gets and potentially the more damage you do. Not sure if this would affect Ndesu or not. Did you and outrage die a lot and play crappy in the previous 2-2 chapter?
No. We were just going back and fourth for the segmented run and decided to do this chapter. Took us a long time. But also depends on the platform. As far as I know, no one had done it on XB1/PS4
It's happened only one other time other than this one. It's true that every shot has to connect but there is also a specific way of shooting the barrels and most of all, you have to be very lucky as it is still highly random even when executed perfectly
I've spent some time trying to kill the ogre in 1 round without any success. I was trying on Xbox One Solo, and every combination I tried ended in no success.
I've tried:
Purely shooting the parasite (every shot connecting) Exploding a barrel the Ogre is right beside and shooting the parasite Shooting the top of the parasite Shooting the middle of the parasite Shooting right at the exit point of the ogre Shooting the parasite as it's retreating into the ogre (You can get a couple shots off during this phase)
And multiple combinations.
I have a feeling this has to be done on Co-op only, and probably with both players hitting 100% of the shots
That I know of, solo can't be done. As well as new gen. I could be proven wrong but that's all I know.
Yeah I'm on PS4 and me and my buddy tried for a while with no luck. It must be kind of random then (if it's possible for new gen) cause all our shots would hit on first sprout, and then it would take a fair amount of bullets to even kill the second sprout - it wasn't even close.
Sorry to resurface this thread, but do you guys know if one sprout is possible doing split-screen on amateur mode on either ps4 or Xbox one?
