Phage Wars 2 saves your progress when closed and reopened. However, some flags aren't properly modified, including those which note whether or not you have collected a gene. This allows you to easily collect each gene as many times as you'd like. Here's how.

1. Beat the game normally. This shouldn't take more than an hour your first time through. Make sure you play the final level an additional time, since the level that triggers the Bonel Prize popup won't give you the gene it's supposed to.

2. Close and reopen the game.

3. Beat any level to trigger the Bonel Prize popup.

4. Beat each level with a gene that you'd like multiple copies of. (The strongest gene in the game, jacK, is located in the lowermost level of "Metazoa (live)". It grants +2 to each stat.)

5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until you're satisfied with your collection.
