Im new to speedrunning and only do it casually on outlast. my run got rejected for no "Starting frame" and level not being loaded in, what does Starting frame mean and how do i make it so the timer starts again once the level is completely loaded in? i have livesplit.
Your run was rejected because it was impossible to retime and you started the run before the level was fully loaded in. You need to wait for the level to be loaded in and then start. Doing that would also fix the no starting frame issue as long as you don't start the recording as soon as you move.
just a quick question, can i just start the timer and not pause it during load times and then check how long the loading screen was in sony vegas or something?
Just use load remover, it's much easier and takes 3 seconds to set up
Due to discoveries in how the main menu works there have been some changes to the load remover
- Timer will pause in the main menu for 1.5 seconds, it will resume after 1.5 seconds if in the menu for too long
- Timer will begin if you move your mouse before you start moving at the beginning of t
