Lets say you submited a speedrun that's actually a rickroll.Would you get banned for doing so?

If you do it once, probably not, but preferably don't do it.

You literally would get banned for a few weeks. Speedrun.com has an auto-rejection system to reject and temporarily ban anyone who uses a link to that video.

If you linked your video of a rick roll, then the mods can reject the run and report it to the site mods. It is best to just not submit joke submissions.

I mean in saying that you want to do a rickroll I feel like you've already defeated the purpose of doing said rickroll

You wouldn’t get banned, the mods would just have a good laugh. They’d actually think it’s so funny that they would let you be a mod

i can confirm, all the games i submitted a rickroll to i got mod for

i once submitted like that more or less: for a speeedrun of nipple% of smo, i didnt record the run because i was not confortable with the camera when playing it, but i wanted to submit the time to src even if i was getting rejected, so i did it i had to put something in the video link so to make the funny i linked the oficial song link moderator just said "rickrolled :) for the next time just record from a good angle" or something like that never got penalted for that

serious answer is that the site automatically detects rickroll links and submitting one will result in a 2 week long ban. If you submit spam runs frequently, you can be permanently banned. If the site doesn't recognize a rickroll link, mods can reject the run with the reason: "Spam" which will alert site staff and also result in a ban. Please don't do it, it's not funny at all.
