I have a bug where my menu is transparent. Is there anyway to fix this without using the widescreen fix?

Limit your FPS.

By loading/starting game or using external program.

@hoxi The frame limiter is already turned on

@Kamils0320 I booted it up through DXWND and the menu is still transparent

The frame limiter doesn't take effect until you actually start the game

edit - apparently the instruction written here was way too difficult to comprehend, so to anyone reading this thread in the future Blacklev has kindly written full details on how to start your game just in case doing that is too hard for you.

Give this a try:

1. Start gtaiii.exe
2. Skip intro movies, press Enter twice to start a new game
3. Pause after you gain control, and see if the menu is still transparent

If the menu is still transparent then I have no idea how you can solve it. The issue normally (as people have pointed out already) is that the menu runs at unlimited FPS before you actually load a game.

You and others explained it badly so he didn't properly understand what you meant. But now the problem is fixed so it's all good.
