"If you run in the same direction as the arrows of a conveyor built you get a nice speed boost. However, if you jump in that direction and let go of the arrow keys after only 2 frames, you will retain that fast speed throughout the jump. You must hold the direction on the first two frames of the jump to get the turtle to jump in that direction, but if you let go immediately after he won't lose the extra speed boost."

In basic terms, let go of the control pad right after you hit the jump button.

FYI: I currently only use the boost once in my run and it is on the last conveyor belt before the Rocksteady fight.

Do you think that there are any other spots in the game where this trick would be beneficial?

I don't know currently but I plan to play around with this some once my flash cart gets here. There are a few spots in the airport area that I want to look at. Spawning enemies may prevent you from boosting too much, but I can't really say at the moment. If I do find other spots I'll post unless someone beats me to it.
