Maybe you already know, but by lowering your field of view, sniping becomes a bit easier to do, and the puzzle box becomes a bit bigger, so it is easier to solve a puzzle from far away, like in swamp.

Just a note: Setting your FOV low also can make some puzzles impossible to solve and others impossible to quickly switch between. I've found 70 to be a good place to do a run at.

for 100%, a higher FOV is definitely favorable since it makes a lot of environmental puzzles easier. I prefer 75 for low/any%. Anything lower gives me trouble with the pillars in the end.

When it comes to sniping, I find a lower DPI setting to be preferable.

If you turn your camera so that the panel is positioned in the corner of the screen, it'll be rendered closer than if it was in the center of the screen, which also makes sniping a bit easier.

Does graphics quality affect sniping? I was able to do most stuff when practicing, but when I got to this area, sniping seemed impossible at low quality.
