I'm not sure if this been brought up or not, but hitbox VOD integration would be nice as it stands now when you put the url of the VOD in it looks like this http://i.imgur.com/mCGjeyO.png I'm sure I don't have to tell you how bad this looks. I seem to remember hitbox VODs working at a prior time so I'm not sure if there was a change in one of the APIs. |

I just checked the main page and saw that the game Silent Storm got a really big cover picture: http://www.speedrun.com/Silent_Storm Is that intended? |

Just a small thing about subcategories: Can you make it so they are also marked as empty when they have no runs, just like regular categories? |

I don't know if I like the fact that game mods can submit runs "on behalf" of someone without that someone's consent to appear on the leaderboards here. I doubt that everyone here wants every run they do submitted here, particularly first runs that are really bad. |
|
While this viewpoint is understandable, it brings up the issue of having accurate leaderboards versus bowing to everyone's wishes on what runs should be represented. |
|
|
Probably already suggested but for games where emulator runs are hidden, can those runs not be given a rank? It's really crappy to see some games with a record stated as like, 7th, when the front page of that game indicated their stance on emu runs compared to console (check pokemon stadium). What i mean is, if you click the run, it will state it's total rank and not it's real ranking |

Is it possible to allow users to remove their own mod status from a game that they aren't a super mod in? |
|
I had an idea which lead to another idea: Allow users to favourite certain runs, for example a WR or former WR run they are learning from. Allow mods of a game to highlight certain runs in the leaderboard. The obvious highlight will always be the current WR, but you could also highlight good runs that show off different strats. For example in GTA 3 Adam's PB is a good reference for pre-duping strats in Portland, and Oasiz's is a good reference for pre-dodo strats in Shoreside. You could also use it to just to show off older runs that were really good for their time but now are obsolete because of better strats/glitches. If the player has beaten it since you could have it appear like how runs that are on slower consoles do for players who have a better time in a different platform. |

Just wondering, do moderators of a game automatically follow the game they're modding? |

they do not |

The tag on the bottom of the run, however, says it was verified by me on Oct 7 2015. Shouldn't this say either "Verified by MLSTRM on Oct 7" or "Verfied by 1UpsForLife on Dec 7?" Indeed, from now on the verifier is no longer updated when already verified runs are edited (unless they go back into awaiting verification and are then verified again). Originally posted by thedarkboco I'm not sure if this been brought up or not, but hitbox VOD integration would be nice as it stands now when you put the url of the VOD in it looks like this [image] Links are only recognized for embedding when they start with 'http://' Additionally, the '/' at the end of the url also breaks embedding, although that's something that should probably be changed. Originally posted by andypanther Just a small thing about subcategories: Can you make it so they are also marked as empty when they have no runs, just like regular categories? That was something still on the todo list, it's done now. Note that subcategories are currently only marked as empty if all possible subcategory combinations with that subcategory are empty, not on individual empty combinations. Obviously this is only relevant if there are multiple subcategory variables in play at once. It's really crappy to see some games with a record stated as like, 7th, when the front page of that game indicated their stance on emu runs compared to console (check pokemon stadium). I'm don't think having hidden emulator runs completely unranked is the way to go, but I see your point. To that end, when calculating the place of non-emulator runs for games where emulator runs are hidden, emulator runs are not considered anymore. This means its place matches the place it has on the actual leaderboard with emulator runs hidden. Normal moderators are now able to see the mod overview on the edit game page, on which they can remove their own mod status. The rest of the overview is view-only though, so normal mods don't suddenly have more power. Originally posted by mamamia1001 I had an idea which lead to another idea: Both solid ideas, I've added them to the todo list. They're not small changes though, so I can't say when they'll actually happen. Originally posted by Klashik Just wondering, do moderators of a game automatically follow the game they're modding? I considered adding that when implementing following games, but decided against it. |

In response to DriftingSkies comment, the general expectation is that people don't link awful times for the sake of completion unless the users specifically want their runs here. Things like this really need written down formally and I haven't made the time to do so. |

It seems Bounceyboy is getting a glitch with notifications, here is a tweet he made: https://twitter.com/Bounceyboyy/status/687648153340907520 |

Thanks for passing that on, should be fixed. |

I may or may not have encountered a problem. See, I have submitted two runs for Phoenotopia any%—a 59:22 on the English version, which I submitted when I created the leaderboard, and a 55:14 on the French version, which I submitted four hours ago. Even though the 55:14 clearly obsoletes the 59:22 (as is evident on my profile page), the 59:22 is the score that shows up on the leaderboard, and I am confused as to why. Leaderboard: http://www.speedrun.com/phoenotopia Any sort of help would be appreciated. |
|
psychonauter: Thanks, I've known about that bug for a while but haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. VouivreCritique: You have set English to be the default value for the Language value, so by default the leaderboard shows only the English runs (making the 59:22 run the fastest - and only - run available). If you want the English and French version are sufficiently different, I would suggest enabling 'use as subcategory' for the language variable, if you do it will be obvious which run will show up where. |

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but I absolutely hate the way the marathons section currently looks. Would it be possible to clean it up by deleting marathons awhile after they finish? This would help greatly with seeing what marathons are upcoming. I don't see much point to having marathons that are long over stay up. |

@Shaddex: The marathon boards are moved to the archive 4 weeks after their last post. |
