As the previous feedback thread got closed, I decided to open a new us for us all to discuss feedback with one another. This is in my opinion something that even with the inclusion of the new supporthub, shouldn't have been taken away from us. Of course this is might not be recorgnized or read by elo, so any feedback you want to be guaranteed to be forwarded to elo should be submitted through: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/supporthub/give-feedback |

Nice! @Matse007Matse007 And with that, I'll go ahead and port over all of my ideas to this thread. List of Oxknifer’s Feature Requests on Speedrun.com: 1. Disqus Implementation: https://www.speedrun.com/post/ogk6d |

And just a small front-end update to suggest based on the new Support Hub. From any leaderboard: Should be changed to: |
|
|
they'll delete it, you don't really think they plan to be transparent with us do you? |
|
|
the site is a good forum topic! |
|
|
Besides, the site mods are probably not going to see our suggestions. |

Gems in the feedback tread: - Leaderboard Features: - Run Submission Features - Forum features: - Profile features: - IL Features: - Game/Series Moderator features: I took a bit of time sorting and writing down some of the (in my opinion) best request i can remember by lurking the feedback forum regulary. |

@Sandstorm187Sandstorm187 As a former site mod, I can say pretty confidently that someone reads these threads, even if things aren't formally acknowledged. In any case, I reached out to ask for clarification on the future of this subforum, but I'd be very surprised if they were seriously planning to remove it entirely. |

The new support hub sucks, there is no true ticketing system your request is just tossed into a pile somewhere and you have no way to check back up on it like I did with the forum threads. Super annoying |

Im still hoping for advanced forum tools/updated forums. Custom flairs, editing thread titles, a better editor.... It is not hard to do that... It really isn't and it would improve quality of life so much. And especially about the custom flair or different pronoun options, we do have now an improved reporting system in the support hub. I do not see any reason anymore to still deny people that. Edit: Also yeah, subscribing to threads would be nice |

I'd be one to vote for scrapping the main forums altogether. I might see an argument for keeping a tournaments/races/marathons thread to spread awareness of those things, but there's probably a better way to handle those. Edit: Good points from all who responded. I'd be inclined to appreciate the forums a little more if ELO shows a future commitment to improving forum functionality. |

I can just second this Liv. There is the common issue of people no longer agreeing on disagreeing in a discussion and sometimes it results in bans in discord communities/speedrunning discords. I know the priority is super low on the forums, but it would just be nice and it would show that they do care about the community that is on here. |

I certainly agree with @LivLiv in every way on this issue, however it may be worth noting that game moderators can delete threads and individual posts so game moderators can still suppress forum posts if they wish to do so. |

Well, fair enough. |

ILs need a serious rework |

With the inclusion of the support hub and an easy way to report people, one of the major reasonings behind not allowing a custom flair, perhaps in place of the current pronoun system or somehow else, is gone. (Refering to here: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/supporthub/report-user ) What are now the reasons as to why we cannot get custom flairs? Is it still the fear of a few individuals abusing it, which can now be easily reported? I might be missing something, but I do not see any major reasons that are preventing it from becoming a thing (except for maybe priorities on what is being added to the site) |
