would it be possible to make it so you can select all categories you want a variable for?
currently i have 1 variable 4x to make it workl properly on the leaderboards, and it is kind of messt behind the scenes.

I was just about to suggest the same thing. I'd like to have the same 'Flash Cart' optional variable for all FDS categories of Zelda 2 (and honestly for all FDS games with load times it would be applicable).
