The Evil Within 2 Rules

NG+ No Difficulty categories Any% NMS

  • This run can use anything carried over from New Game, the run is timed by the IGT plug-in (No Load) found on livesplit for consistent accuracy, this currently only works on patch 1.02 so downpatch for it to work (found in Resources).
  • No use of the Major Skips in the game are allowed such as using Flings/Out Of Bounds and Clipping, any use of these will make the run invalid.

Any%

These are the changes that are happening to make the categories more established and without arguments, I see no need for difficulties on the NG+ runs of the game as they are basically the same thing with infinite ammo and the magnum abuse and makes clutter on the boards.

NG should keep those difficulties as they effect the resources and how you plan out the run etc with them.

As for the glitchless category, this name always creates minor arguments about small glitches and people don't know what is or isn't intended. With the creation of "No Major Skips" currently being used on games like Dark Souls 3, it's alot easier to tell what isn't allowed in the run, things that skip sections of the game and save time obviously unintended such as flings/OOB's and clipping.

This way we have Any% NMS which invalidates anything such as Flings, out of bounds and clips that skip chapters/sections, and Any% which will allow anything as usual.

I have these rules written up as above and think they are fair any input would be appreciated.
