In the rules it says that IGT is used and not RTA. Since I love to drink a few tasty German beers during a speedrun, it's almost impossible to go over 1 1/2 hours without a short break. If the time between chapters doesn't count towards total IGT, are you allowed to wait or does it invalidate the speedrun?
If the time between chapters counts towards total IGT, are you allowed to pause somewhere else where a "pause trick" doesn't count? I have seen others pause the game, but just wanted to make sure.

It's fine to just pause the game, we pause the game to switch FPS and so on. I would say if you need to have a break, don't be longer than 5 minutes. There are some ridiculous rules out there for other games were if you're paused or in a main menu for more than 10 seconds, run invalid!
