============ Preliminary Setup

In order to speedrun SW:BF2 you’ll need to get a few things in place in addition to a timer and recording software. These are lako’s autosplitter for LiveSplit, the save data with award weapons, and the individual campaign level saves. All of these are available on the resources tab of the game’s page here on Speedrun.com along with instructions on how to install them.

It is also important to note that while you can run the game in HD resolution, the menu is locked to 800x600. Thus, it is recommended to keep the game windowed by utilizing launch commands (/win on Steam, -w everywhere else) to avoid issues when recording. In order to create the illusion of a fullscreen, I personally utilize Borderless Gaming (https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/releases), but this is a personal preference and not mandatory in any way.

Also important is that the game must be running on the latest official patch and not have any mods installed unless running under the no autoscroller category. It is also recommended, but not mandatory, that you completely mute the game’s music in the options in order to avoid copyright strikes in your footage. It has also been recently discovered that turning off voice lines in the options can speed up the game by a little bit at the end of each mission, though that will cause the loss of audio cues.

Finally, it is highly recommended that you rebind the keys for rolling and, in the case of jedi, blocking. This is because you’ll be utilizing both of those rather frequently and their default placement on the keyboard is rather awkward.

It is highly recommended that you visit our Discord (https://discord.gg/f8mHxWb) for more information.

========== Universal Tricks

There are a series of tricks that are used in several levels and thus are important, but not critical to learn. If you are starting to speedrun the game, keep trying to perform these tricks but do not reset if you fail. Quite a few of these tricks can only be performed on PC.

Infinite Sprint

The Infinite Sprint is the most basic, and yet the most crucial, of all of the speed tech in this game. Though very simple, it is also quite difficult to perform due to you having a single-frame window to perform it.

Simply put, if you attempt to roll (and remain holding the roll button) exactly as your stamina is depleted when sprinting, you will continue to sprint for as long as you keep holding the roll button. If you are holding the sprint button, you cannot release it while doing this trick.

An alternate setup that gives a bigger window of opportunity to initiate the sprint is to be in the air (due to bouncing off geometry or running off a ledge) when the stamina is depleted. This increases, though not by much, the window of opportunity for you to hold the roll button in time.

Infinite sprint can be broken by big enough falls or by recovering stamina from pick-ups, so be wary of those.

Infinite Jedi Sprint

Originally, infinite sprinting as Jedi was done the same way as with infantry. Recently, however, the PvP community of the game, via Neveryear1, have introduced Infinite Jedi Sprint to us, making it infinitely easier to perform the glitch. Sadly, it applies only to Jedi.

In order to do it, you must first perform the glitch known as Infinite Block. It is very simple, requiring only that you hold the block button as your stamina starts to regenerate after being depleted. If done right, your stamina will freeze and you will remain blocking for as long as you hold the button.

Once you are in this state, simultaneously hold both sprint and roll buttons while letting go of the block button. If performed correctly, you will start to infinite sprint. This may sound complicated, but is incredibly easy and reliable.

Remote Rocket Trigger (RRT)

The Remote Rocket Trigger, or RRT, was introduced by Montuano/9twhosaysit and is very simple, though also situational and requires an award weapon. How it works is that the heavy class has an award weapon in the form of a remote rocket, which, as the name implies, is a rocket that can be controlled by the player as it flies. It should be noted that by holding forward and sprint the rocket can be made to go even faster at the cost of maneuverability.

RRT is important because it can be used to trigger a few objectives in campaign, specifically objectives that require you to walk to a specific place. This works because the game, in these situations only, believes the rocket to be the player.

Sprint Jumping

This is not a true trick but deserves its own mention since it may not be immediately obvious. Sprinting is, in fact, not the fastest movement type in the game, instead if you jump while sprinting you will go far faster at the cost of more stamina. It is, thus, better to perform these sprint jumps when your stamina is about to run out. Jedi, naturally, can perform huge horizontal jumps this way.

===== Timing

How timing works in the game is very simple: timer starts once a loading screen ends and stops when the VICTORY (or DEFEAT) message appears at the end of a level. The autosplitter will automatically pause the timer upon hitting the mission end screen and, if running a full game category, unpauses it once loading is complete for the next mission. Thus, you only need to concern yourself with starting the timer at the beginning of each individual attempt.

Please keep in mind that you may not manually pause the timer, and doing so may invalidate your run.

It is possible to manipulate the game into making the VICTORY screen appear earlier by disabling voice lines in the options and by killing yourself (either through damage or by hitting the respawn button in the menu) and remaining dead.

The timer runs during level start (and in Hoth mid-level) cutscenes, so skipping them is recommended.

Bonus vs No Bonus

Award weapons and other bonuses allow us to play the game much faster and efficiently, though a few runners may want to play without bonuses for the added challenge. In those cases we have “No Bonuses” categories for full game runs. In these, a completely new profile must be made to ensure no awards are present, and at each VICTORY screen you must open the menu and press the quit button. This will take you to the next level while preventing any medals gained in that individual level to be saved to the profile.

================ Campaign Level Guides

Mygeeto - Amongst the Ruins

At the very start of the level, select the Heavy class and immediately equip the Remote Rocket Launcher upon spawning. Fire it towards the Control Point you are meant to capture. Just before the stairs to the CP are a cluster of symmetrical pylons. As you pass by them with your rocket, open the menu and respawn. If done correctly, a new friendly control point will have appeared roughly at the midway point between where you start the mission and the CP you must capture. Respawn at this CP as a sniper. This use of RRT is slightly faster than just running for the objective and removes, mostly, the randomness of spawn positions at the level start. We utilize the sniper because it is the fastest non-hero class when it comes to walking and running speed.

Upon respawning, run up to the CP atop the stairs and start to capture it while fighting off the droids using the award pistol. It is recommended that you throw your autoturret in the corridor leading away from the CP in order to distract incoming enemies from that side.

Once the CP has been captured, quickly interact with it to switch to Heavy once more and go into first person mode. You will notice there are two turrets the way you came, and they must be destroyed. However, they can only be destroyed after the objective popup appears on your screen. Any damage they take before that will be healed. If you have voices on, fire your first rocket when you hear the narrator say the word “space”. Otherwise you will need to figure out the timing by yourself. Instead of waiting to reload your rocket, interact with the cp and “change class” to heavy, it will reload your weapons.

When both are destroyed, turn to the corridor and look at the little doorway/gap that is closest to your (it’ll be on your left). Throw a grenade there. If done correctly, the grenade will land on the other side of the energy shield and next to the generator that is your next objective.

Regardless if you managed to hit the shield generator with your grenades, spawn as Ki-Adi Mundi on the CP you have just captured and run out the aforementioned doorway/gap. Destroy the generator if you missed the bombs. In either case, you will want to run to the capture point atop the three circular platforms beyond the generator, as your next objective will be to capture it. Stay at the north end of the platforms when not killing droids who are about to disrupt your capture.

Once the point has been captured, you will want to sprint forwards towards the bridge. Do not go towards the energy shield or even the tower building to its left. Rather, go left of the tower, towards the edge and sprint jump all the way to the bridge. If done right you will not need to double jump and will land just fine on said bridge.

You will gain an objective to destroy two shield generators behind the large building at the bridge’s far side. Ignore that. Above the energy shield blocking the main door you will see a small open gap. Double jump into it and you will completely bypass the shield. Destroy the main objective inside the building and the crystals will drop on the ground.

Grab the crystals and run back all the way to the very start of the mission. This will be your first opportunity to perform the Infinite Jedi Sprint, which is quite useful here. Once the crystals are delivered, kill Ki-Adi in any way you want and wait for the level to end.

Felucia - Heart of Darkness

It is highly recommended that you play this level with friendly fire off.

Start the level as the Heavy class and run through the arch formed by a large root. To the left of the second root-arch will be a stump or small crater and a cluster of three small trees. Put a land mine just after the little stump-crater and another to the left of the tree cluster. Once that is done, run to the downed AT-TE and use the gonk to replenish your mines.

Three acklays will spawn. One of them will immediately die to one of the mines you placed, while the other two will spawn further ahead. Use your rocket launcher, pistol and mines in combination to kill them. Once they are dead, another trio will spawn and one will once again die to your second mine. Kill the other two.

A new CP will appear in the rear of the AT-TE. Go to it and not only set it as your spawn but also switch class to sniper. This is the first autoscroller in the game where we must defend the AT-TE… except that the AI is incapable of actually destroying it. Instead, you will run roughly to the south until you find a downed LAAT gunship. Wait by its side until the autoscroller timer runs out.

Oncethe timer is done a little object (in truth a disguised flag) will spawn next to the LAAT (by what looks to be a ruined turbine) that you must pick up. Do so and quickly run back to the AT-TE.

Respawn as Aayla Secura once the flag is delivered and sprint up the river to the next objectives: a series of large turrets. Destroy them all in sequence (the two closest to the river, the one on top of the fungal tree, the one on the base of the fungal tree, and finally the last next to the downed LAAT). Die in any way you choose and wait for victory. Beware the Acklays roaming the level once this objective starts, they can two-shot Aayla.

Kashyyyk - A Line in the Sand

It is highly recommended to play this level with friendly fire on.

Spawn in as any class (sniper recommended because of the second objective). The first objective is an autoscroller where you must defend a CP for 3 minutes. You must actively defend it because the AI can capture it, and losing it will result in a defeat. Once there are roughly 30 seconds left in the timer, run all the way to the north of the level past the Sea Wall (while watching the map to ensure that the CP isn’t about to fall due to AI randomness) and stand at the base of the wooden ramp. It is critical that you do not stand in the ramp itself.

Once the objective popup appears, run up the ramp. We wait at the base because if you are in the ramp itself it won’t trigger until you leave it and step back on it.

Now there are two options you can take, but one of them is dependent on RNG and best left for WR runs.

The “Safe” option: Run up to the CP and switch to Engineer. You can either hop on a tank and defend the refinery the intended way, or you can destroy the gate winch yourself, step on top of the Sea Wall gate as it goes down and use your repair tool to restore the winch. If you do that, the gate will rise and take you with it (sometimes you will fall through the gate, this is fine too). From your new position you can keep repairing the Sea Wall winch. Either way, you will have to endure a 4-minute autoscroller. Once there are around 40 seconds left on the timer, grab a tank and drive out all the way to the CP on the rocks to the left. Start capturing it, but make sure that the capture only finishes when the autoscroller has ended or the AI will aggro on the point and possibly recapture it. Afterwards spawn in as yoda and capture the back CP followed by the CPs you defended at the start of the level.

The Risky option: Grab a tank and head out to the CP mentioned above immediately, attacking any Armored Tank Droids you see. If two Tank Droids start attacking the refinery, you will likely lose. Capture the rocks CP and keep defending it while killing Tank Droids. When there are 30 seconds left on the timer, switch to heavy, lay down some mines in the CP, switch back to sniper and run all the way back to the CP in the south, beyond the water. Capture it and switch to Yoda (spawning in the rocks CP). Capture all remaining CPs and win.

In either case, remember to kill yoda to hasten the level end.

Utapau - Underground Attack

This level is sadly dependent on spawn RNG, where you can begin the level extremely close to your first objective, or very far away. If doing any% don’t worry about it, if doing IL runs be ready to restart over and over.

At the start, run towards the raised CP from wherever you start. You can either go up the stairs or scale up the rocks between most spawns and the CP. Either way, clear any droids that might be in the platform and then use the Gonk droid to setup an infinite sprint while you capture.

Once you capture the CP, run down the highway to the next CP. Watch out for land mines, the AI likes to use them here. Once you have captured the CP you’ll gain access to Our Lord and Saviour, Obi-Wan. Spawn as him.

Next you’ll need to capture Yet Another CP, but this one has a quirk in that the AI cannot block your capture. Be careful, however, to not lose too much health while doing this. When you are close to finishing the capture, stand beneath the lowest hanging red triangles because they are the closest point to the hangar’s edge where you can still perform the capture and switch your force power to Force Push.

Once the capture is done, you’ll need to immediately sprint to the very edge of the hangar, as Grievous will spawn there. If you do it right, you’ll be able to push him off the edge to his death. If you are too slow you may need to fight Grievous which is very risky as his moves are incredibly good.

Once Grievous is defeated, your next task is to destroy both hangar AA guns. Use Obi’s standard attack combo, 2 of those is enough for each gun. Don’t use the sprinting attack, it is not as good. Alternatively, use jumping attacks.

With both guns dead, you’ll need to double back and leave the hangar by going to the right. You’ll see a CIS tank standing empty. As Obi-Wan you can get there by sprinting and then sprint-jumping before any droid can take it. Using the tank, destroy the generator that is the final objective. When done, kill yourself and wait for victory.

Coruscant - Knightfall

It is highly recommended to play this level with friendly fire on.

Spawn as the Sniper and run to the far end of the Temple, where you must capture a CP. When you go up the first tier of stairs, it is recommended you toss a grenade because three Jedi will spawn. Make sure to only shoot when the Jedi are either attacking or have their sabers lowered, otherwise they’ll reflect your shots back at you.

When you enter the CP in the council chamber you’ll need to watch out not only for the three turrets and enemy troopers, but also a cluster of jedi will spawn again. A grenade might kill most of them, but beware because they can one-shot you. Either way, capture the CP.

With the CP captured you’ll be tasked to head to the Library. Do so. When you arrive a large number of Jedi will spawn and attempt to destroy the four bookshelves. You need to keep at least one of them alive for 2 minutes. When the timer hits 1 minute left, another wave of Jedi will spawn. This section is actually difficult, and the friendly fire is on because it lets the Jedi kill each other when they cluster together

Once all Jedi are dead, you are free to leave the library the way you came (make sure there are no enemy heavies in the library, they can also kill the bookshelves!) and head in the direction of the Council Chambers CP. Instead of entering the chambers, however, follow the hall to down to the left and go up the stairs at the end into a small tech room. Stand on the circular pad and try to get infinite sprint while waiting for the rest of the timer.

Once the timer is over, you’ll get your next objective to get a holocron (a flag) and take it all the way back to the very start of the level. Jedi will also spawn in the room and outside it, so don’t dawdle.Stick to the right side (from your perspective) of the main temple room when crossing back to the start to minimize the chances of a Jedi killing you.

Once the holocron is delivered, you’ll gain control of Anakin Skywalker. Your next objective is to intercept a Jedi and take his holocron. If you are fast and lucky, you’ll be able to reach him in the room he spawn in, otherwise you’ll need to give chase. Once you have to holocron, you’ll need to once again return to the very start.

With that done, the final objective will trigger: three Jedi masters will spawn in the middle of the temple. Find them and kill them in any way you choose, and then kill yourself to hasten victory.

Naboo - Imperial Diplomacy

It is highly recommended to play this level with friendly fire on.

From here on out you’ll be playing as the Empire. Start as a sniper and run into the CP that is the first objective. This CP is like Utapau’s hangar in that you enemies do not block capture, but you’ll want to kill as many as you can to unlock the Dark Trooper class.

When the capture is done, switch to Dark Trooper. The reason we do so is that the Dark Trooper jetpack has a lot of horizontal speed, and is much faster than the sniper’s sprint. Go back the way you came to the CP and make your way through the outside of the level until you are on the CP on the far side of the map. You can stop the jetpack midair and trigger it again to extend your jump if you have enough fuel. Capturing the CP should be easy enough. Stay near the right side of the square fountain to be as forward as possible when the capturing ends.

Your next objective is to capture another CP, this one forward and right from your position. Use your jetpack to get there, while dodging the rebel tanks. Do not shoot them so avoid them pursuing you. You may need to hide behind the pillars at the CP to get one of the tanks to go away. Make sure to replenish your health and most importantly your ammo at the droids while capturing. Stay close to the ramp going up on the right when the tank is gone as that’s the next objective.

After capturing you’ll need to climb the ramp and destroy a console, which is easily done with a grenade. Once you throw the grenade, jump over the railing and use your jetpack to fly to the little planter by the Palace gates. This is because the next objective is a group of Jedi who’ll spawn at said gates. If you are lucky and skilled you can take all or most of them out with a grenade, but if not the planter’s fence will save you from the Jedi and let you kill them. You can also bait them into killing each other as well. After the Jedi are eliminated, another large group of Jedi will spawn together with the Queen of Naboo. The Queen is your only target here, if you kill her you win. So do so in any way you are able and kill yourself to speed up victory once again.

Mustafar - Tying up Loose Ends

It is highly recommended that you play this level with friendly fire off.

There are two strategies in the level start, though the first I will describe should only be done on IL runs or if attempting a WR as it can result in time loss if you fail. In either case, you’ll start as a sniper.

The first strategy is to go to the left door, which is locked, and from the edge of the platform jump to the window. If you manage it, you’ll be able to run from there to the CP and save a bit of time.

The second, safer and more reliable strategy is to run to the right door, go through it and from there to the CP. You can, for safety, throw a grenade to the inside of the left (locked) door to unlock it in case you die. While capturing the CP you may need to use the medical droid to heal yourself, it is to the right of the door.

Once the point is captured, a bridge across the lava will begin to rise. You’ll need to either wait a second or sprint jump, because if you land too early in it it’ll still be in the lava’s hurtbox and you’ll die. While crossing note the ledge to your upper right: it is full of snipers, beware of it. When capturing the CP across the lava bridge you’ll need to not only watch for the snipers but also for droids coming through the door ahead of you. When you are done capturing, switch class to Dark Trooper.

Go through the door, and then through a second door. Once past that, jetpack to the next CP (while taking care to not jetpack off the level and into the lava). That CP can be a little tricky since there are 3 directions droids can come from. Make sure you have 4 grenades before the capture is done (there is a Gonk to the left of the ramp). You can stand between the second and third set of lights on the ramp and still capture, so use that to position yourself if possible.

For the next objective, jetpack up the ramp and go through the door on the other side. There’ll be two hexagonal table-consoles, on in front of you and one on the other side of the room. 3 grenades will destroy the first one, while the other will depend on damage done by your team-mates. Once both are destroyed you’ll want to walk through the small door next to the second console and jetpack over the conference table. There’ll be a beacon (flag) on the other side that you’ll need to take and carry. Keep in mind that flags disable your jetpack!

Head back to the last CP you captured, via a side door between the two table-consoles you destroyed. When on the CP you’ll need to go across the metal structure hanging over the lava to the marked spot. When the beacon is delivered, fly back to the cp. It is recommended you switch to the heavy class and make sure you have at least one mine, though you can use any class at this point.

In any case, run up (or use RRT, though it is finicky in this spot) the ramp to the indicated spot and a lot of geonosians will spawn as well as an unique one: Gizor Delso. Delso can be identified not only by the marker on top of him, but also because he uses the MagnaGuard weapon. You’ll need to kill him to end the level and a landmine thrown at his feet will instantly take him out. Once he is dead, join him in leaving this mortal coil and wait for victory.

Kamino - Changing of the Guard

It is highly recommended that you play this level with friendly fire off.

Spawn as the trooper because you’ll immediately get access to Boba Fett, so spawn as him. You’ll likely spawn near the Lambda Shuttle, so fly and sprint all the way to the objective and lay down a detpack near the wall console. Detonate it only after the objective popup appears and run inside. You’ll need to weave past the Antitroopers to get a glass tube (flag) behind a large pylon. Run back the way you came all the way to the Lambda and if your health starts to drop, kill a few of the clones. If you do not manage to get the infinite sprint, keep jumping (with or without sprinting) because Boba’s jumps are pretty fast.

With the flag delivered, jump off the platform and fly (and run once it runs out) to the CP in the middle of the map, and capture it. Beware the Antitroopers, they are all snipers. Once the point is yours, fly to the next objective, a building opposite the way you came and slightly to the left. Go in the middle door and take the left door in the room with two ceiling turrets.

You’ll be in a room with 5 consoles and clones with chainguns will start to spawn. Use detpacks to destroy the consoles and use the gonk to get one extra detpack part way through your circuit of the room. Once the last is destroyed, use the menu to respawn as a heavy in the middle CP. If friendly fire is on, you can instead use the last detpack to kill Boba, but you’ll need to watch out that you don’t blow yourself too early.

You’ll now have to destroy two LAATs. One is parked on a platform while the other is flying around. To hit the flying one you’ll need to lead your shots or use the remote rockets (the LAAT hitbox is a bit wonky, so regular rockets are better). With both dead, end your life and wait for victory.

Death Star - Prison Break

It is highly recommended that you play this level with friendly fire off.

Start the level as a heavy, as we’ll perform a RRT. Walk up to the window overlooking the hangar and wait while holding the remote rocket. Do not fire until the objective prompt appears. Just shoot a remote rocket into the hangar and slam it against the ground. This will complete the objective to go to the hangar, initiating the autoscroller early. Switch to sniper and go down to the hangar.

The autoscroller involves defending the hangar CP from rebels who will come from the door opposite the exit to space. At roughly 1:20 left, a single wave of rebels will spawn in from a side door. Once that wave is taken care of, press forward in the direction the main rebel forces are coming from until you get to the CP in the prison block, that’s the next objective so you can be in position.

The next objective, as mentioned, is to capture the prison CP. When you are close to finishing the capture, position yourself on the little ramp and use your sniper rifle to aim at the far end. A rebel with a flag will spawn in and you must shoot him down else he’ll run off into a maze of platforms. Once he’s down, grab the flag and run back to the CP completing this objective and switch to Dark Trooper.

Hop over the cp’s central console and go into the circular room you came from earlier. You’ll notice that to your right is a large metal block preventing you from going to the other half of the circle. Use the dark trooper to fly around it, go through the nearby door and into the Death Star superlaser room where you must capture another CP. This one can be hard because of the number of rebels and lack of a medical droid.

Once you have captured the superlaser CP, go back again to the circular room, but instead of flying just take the next door into your half of the room. There’ll be a long ramp that you can use your jetpack to ascend quickly and reach the next CP; it’ll already be yours so use it to switch to Heavy. If upon switching you do not have 2 landmines, respawn to get back the ammo, as you’ll need them.

Go through the door next to the CP and you’ll be in another hangar. You can throw a mine on the Lambda Shuttle to blow it up, completing the objective. Run to the far door and throw a mine on the ground as a Jedi will spawn and your final objective is to kill him. If he runs into the mine, it’ll instantly deal with him and give you victory. As always die to make it appear early. A precise rocket launcher can also be used to kill the Jedi.

Polis Massa - Birth of the Rebellion

Spawn in as a sniper and hope for a good spawn.Run out of the initial hangar and into the central circular room. In its centre is a CP you must capture, filled with a lot of rebels, so beware. You’ll start seeing Bothans and their hair dryer gun here.

One you have captured the CP, run out of either of the left corridors into the outer circle and from there into one of the twin hallways that lead into the rest of the map. Your target is a small stairway on the opposite end of a gauntlet of rebels. Ascend it and grab the data module (flag) there and go all the way back to the central CP. Now you’ll need to defend this CP in an autoscroller. It is your choice if you want to wait until the timer ends or not, but the fastest strategy is what is known as Yolo Polis Massa.

For Yolo Polis Massa, you’ll want to wait until roughly a minute is left. For safety, you can switch briefly to Heavy and lay down mines around the CP. Mines last exactly 1 minute before detonating by themselves. Either way, you’ll want to respawn as an engineer in the initial hangar and run to its north end. There’ll be a rebel tank there that you can use to traverse the vacuum area on the outside of the map and make your way to the opposing side, where there is an opening similar to the one you just came out of.

After parking the tank, get out and go up the right stairway and into the right door. As soon as you can, drop out of the ledge to your left and there’ll be a circular computer console with holograms. Place a detpack on top of it but do not detonate it. Instead immediately respawn on the hangar (or the central CP if you were too slow) again as an engineer. Once the autoscroller ends and you get the objective to destroy the aforementioned console. You’ll still be able to detonate your detpack despite your death. Do so and start capturing the hangar, because it will be auto-captured by the Rebels. Once it is captured, the mission will end (kill yourself like every other time).

Tantive IV - Recovering the Plans

Start as a sniper and press yourself against the door. Once it blows up run through the rebels (you may need to sprint jump over them) and into the first door on the right to capture the first CP. This CP can be incredibly hard to capture as snipers can flood into the room.

After capturing you’ll get a prompt to switch to Vader. Do not accept yet. Instead, run out the door you came in from, hang a right, then a left and go into the door immediately to the right. Do not enter the door before you get to objective to enter this room, or it will glitch and you’ll need to exit and re-enter the room.

Now you’ll need to destroy a set of computer consoles. You must do it before the timer to play as Vader expires. Once the last console is down, switch to Vader and and spawn in the CP you captured earlier. Exit it through the largest door and head to the right, up the stairs and into the next large door into the generator room. Use Vader’s jump flight to go to the catwalk on the far side of the room, head right and you’ll find the object you must carry (a flag) and blow up the console behind it to unlock a door.

To leave the room, turn around from the console you just destroyed, and head out the right door. Jump over the catwalk and the door you unlocked will be right in front of you. Go through it, right down the stairs and all the way into the room you started to blow consoles in earlier. Move to the point marked by the objective and immediately turn around and exit the room. Go right until you are forced to turn left by a Gonk and into a door at the end of the path.

Inside turn right immediately and you will see Princess Leia. Your objective is to defeat her, which should be easy. After this bit of parental abuse, kill off Vader and wait for the mission to end.

Yavin 4 - Revenge of the Empire

While it is usually recommended to start as a Sniper, a Trooper can also work here. Immediately run forward and hop into a tank. You’ll use its boost to go down to the large fountain, where you will exit and try to capture. You need to kill as many rebels as you can to unlock the Dark Trooper, so make sure that you get enough.

Once the fountain is yours, switch to Dark Trooper and rush to the next objective at the base of the aqueduct. It can be a hard one, so stick to its left side (from your perspective) and capture the CP. There is no real trick to it other than staying alive while being swarmed.

The next objective is to run up the hill to the Reflecting Pool CP, which you also need to capture. Try to keep the droids alive, but that is not always possible. Once that is captured you’ll need to defend it in an autoscroller. Once you have roughly a minute left to wait, switch to heavy, place some mines and respawn as Dark Trooper because you’ll need your grenades. Once you are back as a Dark Trooper, if there aren’t a lot of enemies posing a real threat to the cp, jump onto a nearby tank and head for the pyramid across the way past the square with a bunch of stone obelisks. Park the tank by the pyramid’s base and wait at the top for the next objective.

Said objective is a bomb (flag) that you need to pick up and take to the temple gates. You can carry it while in the tank, so just drive the vehicle all the way to the stone gates of the temple. While the bomb’s blast can kill you, it cannot kill the tank, so just keep accelerating against the door so that once it blows you’ll get to the other end of the interior as soon as possible. When you reach the other end leave the tank and go up to the upper level you can see in front of you. There’ll be a room full of holographic panels and 3 bothan spies that you must kill to end the level. A grenade can take two of them immediately. As always, die to make it end faster.

Hoth - Our Finest Hour

Spawn as a sniper (though trooper is also acceptable if slightly slower) and head towards the first CP. Aim for the two droid, the Gonk and Medic, and crouch between them when you reach the CP. Once the CP is captured you’ll need to switch to Dark Trooper, so make sure you get enough kills.

Next you’ll need to cross a massive expanse to get to a bunker and get the CP inside it. If you get incredibly lucky, a rebel with a tauntaun may appear on the way. If so, hijack the tauntaun because it is faster than the dark trooper’s flight. Getting to the bunker and capturing it can be very hard, so once inside stay crouched in the left doorway (facing out of the bunker). When you manage to capture it, respawn at one of the AT-ATs. Try to pick one that is facing west. You’ll have to use the AT-AT to destroy the shield generator beyond the bunker you just captured, and it may be that you’ll need to reposition it to be able to spot it.

As soon as the generator goes down, respawn. If you do it fast enough you’ll be able to do it before a cutscene (skip it!) appears. Spawn, as dark trooper, at the generator’s CP (which is now yours) and look around for a rebel on a stationary tauntaun. Shoot the rebel and take the snow lizard, and then ride it into the rebel hangar. Once there, capture the CP inside.

When the CP is yours, you’ll get Darth Vader so switch to him. You’ll have to run deeper into the rebel base, past two energy shields and eventually into a control room. Inside is a console you must destroy. Do so and double back to see that the energy shields are down. Go into the very first one you run across and cross a metal bridge into a second hangar that you must capture. There is a turret on the underside of the Millenium Falcon that could inconvenience you, so take it out with a sabre throw.

Once the CP is captured you’ll get another cutscene (skip!) and a beacon (flag) will spawn in the other half of the current hangar. Grab it, go out of the hangar and into the trench beneath the final rebel transport. The final objective of the game is to now defend the beacon until the timer runs out. The AI will rush it and spam grenades, so beware to not lose your run here. Once the time is up, kill off Vader and pat yourself on the back: you’ve finished Any%!
