You are not the first to be confused by this, when I first saw it, I was confused also. All you have to do is hold "r" at the start of the Crappy Random Stages and that changes "edwin's farm" and "roundabout" to a rainbow version. Timing: Completely agree with this, only problem seen so far with this change, is that waiting for the cutscene to end will save some milliseconds as Powdinet mentioned, but seems to be a smaller issue that taking control in a black screen. Also loading bar seems like a decent idea, no one has mentioned if that is definitely consistent yet though, but sounds good.

WR Rules: Harsh rules for everyone, as much as I feel there should be leniency for new runners, and for it to be easier for new runners, sadly SA is complicated when it comes to a ruleset, and things get too subjective when you allow accidental cheats and NG+ is allowed for people of a certain criteria. Note: KZ made a AHK script that fixes the accidental cheats (at least for PC K&M players that i know of.)

All Missions: English_Ben has a point 'All Missions' isn't All Missions, but then again 'Any%' isn't exactly any%, (can't use cheats) so maybe that doesn't matter. I don't think that the semantics on what is 'A Mission' or 'A Story Mission' matters all that much as long as rules are objective and make sense. Also, something less important but would be nice, is that it isn't close to 100% or NMG, what thriving mentions sounds fun, and people are behind it, so I think we should just be listening to objections to that.

No Videos: I am for leaving the old runs with no videos up, they were once verified, they aren't high up in the LB, and it feels bad removing peoples runs just because of twitch, this go against my harshness in rules earlier, and seem contradictory, but I believe they fall under innocent until proven guilty, their runs followed the ruleset of the time, (at least according to the mods that verified them) and the ruleset hasn't changed drastically enough to really cause an issue in my opinion. Note; Can someone write down all the runs down first(if someone hasn't already) just for the history(I know changes were made, but just making sure this has been done.) Tier4Jean had a good idea with "The museum of ancient historical runs".

Flying: The evidence doesn't seem to be substantial enough (correct me if I'm wrong) to give him a ban/permaban right now, until substantial evidence is found, allow him to come forward to prove his innocence, but I do completely agree with the removal of his runs, this may again seem contradictory, but this shouldn't be innocent until proven guilty, he has cheated before and I believe it is logical to be more than skeptical of him, and to believe he needs an explanation before the runs are put back on the LBs.

Frame Limiter Change: Honestly don't know enough, not sure how often it will be implemented into runs, and whether or not this will become needed to go for WR runs, but I don't like what it could do to IL's, and I'm mainly just scared of the inconsistency it could bring(although I am ignorant to how it affects the game) there is just a lot of worry from me.

TL:DR: 'Timing' cutscene ending seems good, 'WR Rules' same for everyone, 'All Missions' what thriving said, 'No videos' preferably leave them alone(I know changes were made), 'Flying' he needs evidence for runs to be back on the LB, but don't ban/permaban him yet, need more evidence, what has been done so far with flying makes the most sense, 'Frame Limiter Change' no, but I know almost nothing on this.

There is no autosplitter for this game, for accurate timing just record and use livesplit/wsplit or any timing program. If you struggle to split at the end of the run accurately, the mods can re-time the run, and adjust it accordingly.

The first two maps are changed using an easter egg in the game, these make the maps 'rainbow', without understanding of these strategies, I can understand why they seem cheated/modded, join the LK8 discord (link is in the forum) for explanation of the strategies used, if after learning these strategies you still believe the runs to be cheated, feel free to message me on discord, or any other available accounts linked to my speedrun.com profile.

I would like to have video evidence as a requirement, people will be more inclined to join our community if they see the skills involved in IL runs by watching a video rather than just seeing a picture with a time. I also don't like screenshots because generally that doesn't prove what CC it is, correct me if i'm wrong about that.

Accidentally removed 'Skip' records from: https://www.speedrun.com/logankart8 while trying to make skip records only available on specific courses, not sure if this is possible with 'sub-categories?' If this could be reverted it would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I don't think this game needs anymore mods, but it would be useful to have a mod who know the ILs better, I'll leave it for a couple days and see if goet999 has an opinion.

If you run any of the cup runs you can do them in any CC you like, a few people ran 'All Cups' with 150CC.

From now on all Non-IL runs will be timed from you press 'NEXT.' If any of your run times are changed it will be to accommodate to the rule change.

Just curious to how we going to officially time this game. Gizzy and myself also a few others were starting our timers when we pressed the 'NEXT' button on Logan Kart, but a lot of people are pressing start when the screen goes black, just want people to decide on which to use, I think that starting on 'NEXT' is a more accurate way to time, but if the majority wants it when the screen goes black then we will do that, that would also mean most times will be shortened by 0.8-0.9 seconds.

Lessnessv, I just watched your IL run of Refracted Boulevard, and if you think it is a good idea, in the guide under 'Individual Levels' i could reference that run for the shortcut when using a lower CC kart, because in a lower CC kart I am not sure if you can do the other shortcut.

I did mention the Bullet Bill strat and if the old Refracted Boulevard strategy is better then i could add it but i believe the new one is faster so i don't see a reason to mention it.

Didn't want to create another forum to address this so, I was wondering if I could get moderator, goet999 you do a great job of verifying runs appreciate that, but you are still yet to add Construction Zone to IL's which after over a month is kinda ridiculous. I just want to be moderator to help out this small community more, to add Construction Zone to IL's and also for there to be two people verifying runs once again, thank you.

Umm Mods! How has Construction Zone still not been added to IL runs?! Also don't really have too much of an opinion on Android runs, if there was an interest for people to run it then i would believe it would need to be added otherwise, i don't see too much importance.

That's a fair jurisdiction at the moment the IL runs that have changed are only impacted by a few seconds so WR are still easily possible.

oasis and forest as ILs i believe haven't changed so no runs would be removed, i am not saying ILs should be reset just either one of two things, anyone can run ILs in whatever version of the game, or all runs with old holes like twilight 15 or haunted 12 have to removed because they are runs of a past map that no longer exists. I prefer the first option it just gets confusing with full game runs whether or not they should only be run in the most up to date version or any version.

There have been a few hole changes to ILs with updates to the game, some beneficial, twilight 15 is good example, but some are hindering like haunted 12, so my question is can you run IL on any version of the IL or just the most recent version, also if the answer is only the most recent version then that should mean removal of all IL runs with holes that are different beneficial or not. p.s Also not sure if the optimal strat for haunted 13 is possible anymore.
