I am a bit surprised to see no Type-B game speed gaming category for either the Game Boy or NES version of Tetris. Does anyone know why?

If you guys decided to add such a category then maybe you should wait until 2019, the 30th Anniversary of the Game Boy and this version of Tetris. It would be a good time to start a new challenge.

If I were to guess it would probably because of how insanely RNG oriented type B is.

I kind of wanna do some test runs to see what speeding that game type would be like now. I think Tetris is unique in that skill has more influence when it comes to overcoming RNG where some games you're a bit more stuck with it. Sometimes I think playing Type-B game mode might be why I can be good at cleaning up my own messes in Tetris since that game mode is all about that basically.

Why is there no Type-B game?
