Of course a major factor is just the thrill of going through games quickly. But I feel like a lot of people also have goals in mind. Whether that's getting the WR, breaking a PR minute barrier, finding a timesave for everyone else to use, etc.

For me it's theorycrafting with other people and being able to beat WRs through logic rather than brute force. Finding a skip, no matter how minor, is a high that nothing else can replicate.

With speedrunning I enjoy to experience a game I love in a different way. This different way being a challenge with a fair set of rules & then beating it as fast as possible.

I’m also thinking of doing runs on categories with no runners so I can fill all the categories in those games and give people motivation to beat them

Grinding my skills as much as possible, i know kinda dump goal. I really want to see how much i can do.

At first my goal was to be on top 5 players on the leaderboard then i targeted i timer close to previous WR holder and even beat that! but i'm very close to that so i'm happy.

Recently i got a Rival named: @Qwertyctrx and he is Seriously skilled he beat my times without breaking a sweat. im happy from that because i managed to draw some attention to that game i wonder if i can revive it now i truly wish for really Crash Nitro Kart (GBA) should have it's own dedicated players.

my goal is just to spend time. mostly having a fun time running a game i like but sometimes you need to play something shit that will make you want to explode

Seriously though, you nailed it with "finding a timesave for everyone else to use". Finding a new skip is so exciting, even if you don't retain the 1st place slot. And seeing other people's skips on any% etc. Glitch hunting is just fun in general. I want to do a lot more in the future. I love the concept of beating a game quickly ... 0/1 star runs on Sm64 runs ... wall glitches etc.

This is probably gonna sound dumb, but my goals is to speedrun a huge variaty of different games, befriending many communities, and making a name for myself in the community! And no, I don't mean in terms of fame, I mean I just want to be seen as a respected member of the community. I want to spread and share my love of speedrunning with others.

Also side goal: I want to impress others with my speedruns. It just makes me happy when I impress others after accomplishing difficult times and runs!

I definitely enjoy Theory Crafting and coming up with Strategies, Sequence Breaks or New Optimizations for Stages and Boss Fights the most. Also if something is inconsistent or considered inconsistent for the time I love to try and figure out methods that make it consistent. I also like achieving my goals and my Current Goal for the Game I'm running TMNT Shredders Revenge is to break the Sub Hour mark for Arcade Mode on Gnarly which is the hardest Difficulty for the game. I'm a little sad not many people play Gnarly or at least watched my runs.

I think of trying a new game and playing it one time and see if I can beat my PB's Previously in the past. That would be awesome. And, that would have to be for Need For Speed: Underground. And, Midnight Club II.
