Ungard Mines is the level where you unlock all of the equipment for the Dark Campaign, so melee combat gets gobs easier now that you have the axe of slaying. In the any%, the most reliable method to beating the level is actually by using the lich and jumping on top of a summoned minion's head to bypass basically the entire stage. This takes some clever routing, and goes to show why playing on Easy is the better choice. You need to use some revival exploits to return to the top quickly, and more than once.
