Hi, I thought I'd might ask about runs being done on ZSNES for Co-op Netplay. Might be a dumb question, but I didn't see any rules mentioning emulators. Thanks in advance.

In the Co-op Any% category, they sent a run, where it was played in the ZSNES emulator (https://goo.gl/1b9PFI), and was accepted on the leaderboard. So I think there is no problem, although I recommend that you use a more stable emulator for speedruns.

Zsnes doesn't emulate lag properly and is banned for speedruns. Runs on Zsnes should not be allowed

If it is banned by the speedrun community, then it would be better to play it in another emulator.

What I find strange, is that there is an accepted run (https://goo.gl/1b9PFI) in the Any% Co-op category, which is in the ZSNES.

He also has a run for Any%. That run should not be accepted on the leaderboard.
However it's not like it says in the rules atm that anything is banned so that needs to be talked about.
The thing is if his run is allowed, then other people will think it's okay to run Zsnes and im positive that it doesn't emulate lag properly and can save time on the actual hardware which means WR can be beaten on Zsnes because it runs faster

The only thing left to do, is to delete the runs that went up in ZSNES, I hope the other moderators understand the situation.
