Wasn't having much luck getting into potion for the glitch so I came up with another method for lining up that works more consistently for me so thought I'd share it here. I think it's slightly slower but hopefully it might help anyone else struggling to get it. One thing I forgot to mention is to let go of forward/W before tapping right/D.

Also anyone have any idea why the area unloaded both tries? Like I said every time previously I managed to land on the walkway when I missed the plank and it was fine.

For some reason, this is just how sections load in this game. It's far better to fly straight above where the checkpoint zone is so you fall into it. I'd check Erims' run for a great example of this:

As for the subpixel/nudge lineups, if they work for you, hey all the power to you! However you have to be careful about losing time doing the lineup each time the nudge fails. So in order to get it as fast as possible, you are much better off getting roughly into a position where you only need to tap a few times. The reason there is no 100% guarenteed setup is because it is highly impacted by human error; no human can tap down a key for the same duration every time without fail, if that makes sense? The rest of the setup once you are in the .282 subpixel is deffinitely consistent though!

Oh damn! yeah that seems much easier, I'll try that next time, nice one!

Yeah my method definitely loses a bit of time getting the camera in position but it ain't too bad for retrying if you nudge too far during the line up since the camera stays more or less in the same position, but yeah I was aiming for more consistency rather than speed since I was having a lot of trouble with the 5 tap method; like 1 in 20 tries I was getting the correct line up but I'm getting it first try most of the time with my method, like you say I'm getting in a position where I only need to tap a few times. Still it's definitely not 100% consistent, damn that human error! But hopefully it can make it a bit easier for some people.
