If you are thinking about the select glitch, there is a leaderboard in the category extension for it

"Platform Rules
Console
All variants of Game Boy Tower have inaccurate emulation, and are therefore banned (except specifically for the Game Boy Tower categories).
The Super Game Boy peripheral for the SNES runs at an inaccurate framerate, and is therefore banned.
The Super Game Boy 2 peripheral for the SNES runs at the correct framerate, and is allowed.
If Game Boy Interface (GBI) is used in place of the original GBP disc for console runs, modifying settings that affect run timing such as the length of the reset delay is not allowed. (GBI users must use GBISR for runs they wish to submit to leaderboards.)
Flashcarts such as the Everdrive are not allowed for console runs. The only exception is running minihack categories on flashcarts with MBC3 RTC chips (such as this one from BennVenn), which is allowed, as there is no other console option.
Fake/reproduction cartridges and/or consoles are banned."
From the old psrwiki website, it's now an unwritten rule.

Flash carts are not allowed on the leaderboard, so no your runs won't be eligible for submissions.
You need a original cart or you can use the approved emulator, gambatte-sr

if you are capturing your switch with a capture card i suggest to keep obs open and screenshot the live footage of your stats on level up so you can input them once you have a cutscene or a cinematic to save time

Looks pretty fun
I have a question tho, what's the point of that timing start, why not just start at new game?

The new categories have just been created so you can submit your runs already, and we will soon start moving runs from the cat ext to the main leaderboard.

If you want to try your hands at it, we recently renovated the guides in the new PSR GitHub Wiki:

Thread: Official PSR Discord Server for Gen 1-3

Started by: stocchistocchi

(edited: )

With the recent split between generations in Pokemon Speedrunning we decided to update the Discord Thread so it automatically gets you to the new community server!

For those of you who don't know what Discord is, you can read about it here. It's very friendly and very easy to use, and it's absolutely free to both test and own! Discord is available both as an in-browser program and a fully downloadable app.

There are dedicated text channels for each category within generations 1-3, so you'll never miss any brand new routing or discussion, as well as centralized voice channels. No longer will races require a host and a messy call set up, simply jump into one of the dedicated channels and chat away!

If the specificity of text/voice channels are a little intimidating, there are also general text/voice channels if you just want to talk about anything/everything!

here is the run:
here is the route i used (wich i already replaced in favor of a better one):https://pastebin.com/pCLbh8Gb

This run would need a rule exception, since you cant get Mew without using a glitch.
I suggest we should state that you can perform only one trainerfly/deathfly glitch to spawn a lv7 Mew.
The routing is really interesting since Mew can learn every tm, but you are really underleveled compared to nidoking for example.
I think this can easily sub 2

It could be a keyboard problem, I know some cheaper ones cannot take more then 3 input at the same time.
The easiest way to prove this is to use a keyboard visualization program, you can just press these 4 buttons and you should see them pressed
If thats your problem you should use this manip that doesnt require any soft reset.
