I want to talk about speed run strats. But, before that, I want to suggest some rule revisions to mods.

1 I hope you put "and Crazy Hand" in Classic rules into bracket like this: (and Crazy Hand) I think 1 continue is faster than beating him.

2 I hope you change when timing ends in All Events. Because any order is accepted, the last one don't have to be Event 41. (You may think there is no one who doesn't start with Event 1. But... I'll talk about this in next post)

I don't think they're big problems, but newcomers can be confused

Then, I'll talk about strats in speedrun. (This is not Guides.)

●All Events When you choose a event, you have to wait during load. They'er really long, but there's no way to cut them as far as I know. But I noticed one technique. When you choose the same event in a series, the loading time become a little shorter. Then one question will arise: Which event you have to chose to make the most of this difference. ] I have no idea about this... (This is why I suggested rule revision 2 in the first post)

●Classic (and All-star) How are your save data? I've felt my one is not the best condition. I have to talk about this.

As you know, Stages in Classic is ordered with one particular rule. Like this: Stage1 Zelda characters Stage2 Donkey or Yoshi Stage3 Pokemon ...

For example, In stage 1, Which is better for speedrun, Bridge or Ship? In difficult mode, I think Bridge is better. (Even if you think Ship is better, that's no problem) Then, If I didn't have Toon Link yet, I wouldn't have Ship stage in Stage 1. It'd be really good for speedrun.

So what I want to say is "Make the data the best condition will make much difference" You can apply this to All-star, of course.

But, I don't know what condition is the best. It will be changed with the difficulty you choose. what a difficult problem!

(Addition to it, there is practical problem. If you make the best data for every category, you have to spend considerable effort, and you need many SD cards or Wii :-( )

If you have some ideas about this or other strats, please write in here!

I found a pretty consistant strat in All-Star and sometimes on Classic. As Pikachu, up-throw to Thunder seems to be working most of the time. However, it only seems to work on the very first wave of characters, after that they'll just DI away. I found it to be consistant on game & watch, wave mario, wave DK and Ice Climbers. After that it doesn't seem to work anymore. This of course also applies to classic. I found the strat working on difficulties Easy,Normal and Hard

I also found an interesting strat on Boss Battles as fighting Tabuu. There's a very small chance that Tabuu won't attack for a little way making it possible that you can kill him before he can even make a move. If this doesn't happen, the best possible rng is that he turns in the gigantic arrow. It takes a while for the transformation meaning that you'll still be able to kill him. Otherwise most of the attacks you'll have to dodge or advoid until he stops teleporting after his attack. Another intersting thing is that I found is that you can actually stand on Porkey, meaning that you he can't hit you during his attacks. And if he does the attack were he jumps into the air you can still attack him

●All events best way to begin(?) step1: choose 41 step2: choose your character step3: press start but don't start your timer step4: quit with L+R+A+Start step5: start timer, choose 41, and press start (your character is already chosen) step6: after 41, go to 1→2→...→40(end)

Remark: Don't choose other task between step4 and 5

Reason: 41 needs really long loading time. (but I don't know that's the longest) Character Choose Cut is new technique.
