this is awful, you killed the leaderboards.

Jumpy, if you set up a massive meme race or something and people finish then they will have times for the leaderboard. Making them less killed

i mean just looking at it, half the times are gone, including the top 3.

It because of debates between the community and how they are not accurate with the rulings nowadays, your run is probably the most believable but without video we couldn't keep it on the leaderboards.

By 'believable' i mean keeping to the rulings, obv, hum's and caite's times are believable and realistics but ruling says otherwise

I don't really mind MY time being gone all that much. It was 3:15-3:16 pace into ripto then i just got pissed on by RNG. But the current boards imply that the game hasn't gone through as much optimization as it actually has, especially with how Cait has a 3:07. I just think it's an unfair representation of the history of speedrunning this game.

OK get a video and a pb with that ez

Okay, this is embarrassing. The "WR" now is a 4:45. This implies that this game didn't get the optimization it received. No credit is given to the people who took it seriously, and the game looks unoptimized. Why was this done?

I agree with you Jumpy. I think the leaderboards for this game are now completely irrelevant and pointless. There's no general place for you to look at top times for this game anymore. In the past all of those runs were accepted as legit but people are changing their minds; they won't even accept the concept of grandfathering. I think a better solution is to unrank now-illegitimate runs, explain grandfathering in the rules, and keep the times displayed. It seems like a win-win for everyone that way?

I don't care who had the idea of clearing the boards, you were the one that agreed and did it. Cait at one point did state that she would eventually run on console. I didn't know Hummel's time was on an SD card, but I'm sure that doesn't matter all that much.

As for my 3:20, I had bad Ripto RNG that killed the 3:16 and possible 3:15. I had ~60 viewers at the time and I raided Hummel when he was doing his runs. The run happened, people saw it. I didn't highlight it because, as we all know, it was extremely bothersome with hitbox. I would have if it was the record but it IS NOT THE RECORD. You say it's "generally agreed that the world record should have video evidence." I don't have the WR, but I have the fastest time you'd be willing to display according to the emulator rules. It's not my fault that the times faster than mine were suddenly rejected. You'd have video evidence for my run if you had made your mind up years ago. It's unfair for you to suddenly make this my fault and punish me by removing my time.

Well, the bottom line for me at this point is that I don't have video proof because it's not the record. I'm 3rd place, and my run was accepted without video proof before. Whether it's the fastest time you're willing to display for not, my time should be on these boards, """"1st"""" place, 2nd, or 3rd.
