Forums  /  Speedrunning  /  Is there a way to remove a run before it is verified (that you submitted on accident?)
  josephyossijosephyossi

i accidentally submitted a 25 sec run instead of a 1 minute and 25 second run, which i did submit after, but i would like to know if there is a way to prevent my inevitable humiliation by removing that run.

You can delete runs, but only if your account is a week old. There is no "humiliation" though, moderators will fix the time before verifying it and everybody makes mistakes.

You can find your runs that are pending for verification on your "Pending Actions" tab. You can these on the hourglass icon on the navbar at the top of the site.

Once you find your run there, it's just a matter of clicking on it and it'll lead you to the run's page, where you can follow @Merl_Merl_ 's instructions.

As a moderator of many games I will say that it really doesn’t matter if you submit a run with the wrong category or time, moderators can edit your run before it is added to the leaderboard and will fix any issues. In fact, I have to edit almost every run I verify. If it’s a mistake that requires rejection, I never remember who’s run it is nor do I need to. The point is, there’s really no harm in making a mistake. It almost never ends up on the leaderboard one way or the other.
