How much could the teleporter be used in Any Gear Speedruns? In this game there is a Personal Teleporter (unlocked by Cor V machine) that can be thrown and it teleports the player to wherever it lands. There are couple interesting things that can be done with it like skipping over certain stealth sections and enemy encounters. But what I'm more interested in is if it can lead to any large sequence breaks or in any way skip certain sections. I'd have to do some experimenting but just off the top my head couldnt you use it to teleport past the wagon in the Barrel of Grog level and skip most of the level?

Update: So far I haven't found any sequence breaks. The biggest use for it is sections with lasers that are supposed to be avoided. You can use the Personal Teleporter to skip those. But other than that it appears that the the people at PixelBite did a pretty good job at preventing the player from doing things they aren't supposed to. If anyone does find something though please do post it in a forum as it's possible there's some sort of strat taking advantage of the item.

I like your thinking! Tbh it's been a long time since I did runs so can't recall any potential applications myself but I'm sure there will be a ton of awesome big strats generally waiting to be unlocked by someone. Sounds like it could well be you!

Yeah. So far with all my testing I've stumbled upon a few glitches. None of them are extremely useful but it show that there are definitely some pontential applications and I could at the very least take off a couple of minutes. Maybe even skip a whole level.

Try mission 7 It would be great if you could skip the smoke wall.

Ok I tested and discovered that grenades can go through the smoke wall but I just don't have the teleporter unlocked to test if it will work.

It works but it's a bit tricky to get it right
