I was thinking that since the Piantissimo levels are pretty free (except in 120 shines), there could be a quick category where you do the 3 Piantissimo levels to get the quickest time to the flag. The rules would be that it has to all be in one run and only one try on each level. The timing would be easy since it gives you the time, and the run would take about 2 minutes. People could even use the time from an all level shine or hoverless run. I think that this could be a competitive category that is easy to do. Let me know what you guys think.
It could be okay if you add up the time from each level however the downfall of this is that going from world to world is longer than the time spent racing Piantissimo. Personally I would try this, however if it was extremely competetive it would get boring to grind going around Delfino Plaza to each of the Piantissimo levels over and over again.
It's also something that you could do in a run of 79, 96, all episodes, NMS, or hoverless run, since the only requirement is that all three races happen only once and in a single run. We could also make it where you could do the gelato race after you finish an any%, provided you don't reset the game. It would be an annoying thing to really grind out, but since everyone has practice with Piantissimo, it won't take much more to optimize the run. I think enough people would do a run a day or something to fill the leaderboard and keep it competitive. If it really is competitive enough, then it will be worth it to grind it out going through Delfino or with practice codes.
