So my All Purple Coins run was rejected after being on the leaderboard for 3 days for what? I pressed close on the notifications by accident btw so I didn't see the text.

We've just had a discussion about the topic on the Discord server. The reasons why your run got rejected are:
- Your run isn't in 1 video (main reason)
- Your videos have low quality (some people wouldn't change their opinion on that one)
- You are banned from the SMO speedrunning community, with some people holding the opinion that, for punishment, you should also banned from the leaderboard.
I personally only agree with point 1, who thinks the same?
(1) Strange, I think I am limited to 10 hours. Before verifying my account, I had 15 minutes 🤔
Runs need to be RTA and in one Video, I don't even know why YT shouldn't allow videos over 1h, there's a 15min limit which you can expand to 12h, there's nothing in between.
The region doesn't change anythign about it. Also: use Google to find out how to verify.
Do you already have a run recorded in one video? If so, I think you can upload that and you will have my support about (2) and (3) For the future, I believe that resolution is more important for a video being video proof than either colour or FPS. I think I would happily watch a b&w WR with nice resolution and a minimum of FPS.
Ur run isnt there because the way its recorded, i don't agree in the way they banned u but i am against the way u uploaded the run, thats it. Just get a better camera or what so ever and try ur best to submit a better non vid segmented of ur run, and try even hard for ur run to be watchable, and if u cant upload it with colors its a problem cause not even in 2000 black and white was a thing
Just imagen that that kind of uploads is way easier to segment it, and i am not blaming u of that, but its a posible we cant pass by that easy, regardless if u does or doesnt segment it
When you've seen a few Twitch streams even by Okikurume, Odme, or Spikevegeta, you're going to realize that black&white is not anywhere close to as annoying as a low resolution especially in videos where there's anything to read at all, and that resolution is a problem 2017 live-uploaders (i.e. streamers) even at the top level are still having. Unless the stream resolution was to solely be a viewer problem for me, in which case I myself would be a counterexample to your high exspectations
In the summer when it rains 30% of the time I will try a single vid. I will try in the winter but no guarantees
Try a single vid for the next run you submit. If you don't succeed at making a single vid, don't submit. You know it now. Also, care about the resolution

Care about it more than about colour and FPS. I'm going to be the one who will end up watching the submission. And show your purple coin lists at the end for more than one second please
But the most important thing: Record a full run in one video!
OKAY LISTEN TO THIS YOU IDIOTS. I died Multiple times in my run and forgot coins in Luncheon Bowser and Seaside Kingdoms. If I was to splice I would have cut those out... Just think about it...
d101, as much as I like to give everyone a chance to submit to the leaderboards, you need to meet the requirements for a video, and of course the requirements of "all purple coins". Keep in mind if video is too much of a hassle for you, you don't need to upload them to the leaderboards. Just have fun with running the game, a leaderboard shouldn't stop you from having fun running the game.
I believe you that your videos show an actual sub 2:44 All Purple Coins run that meets all requirements, but regardless of that, I agree with the community that you haven't succeeded in providing actual video proof. We have found that it would have been possible to produce similar video material spliced together from separate runs, or from a run with breaks, and therefore your videos lack the property of being video proof for your former WR.
Please record a singular complete video next time in order to meet the "video proof" requirement that is stated in the rules. Thanks.
