Category organization and longer runs

Hey there speed smiters!

I've been eyeing Smite over here in SRC and even held a record or two at some point, but I never got into it and there's one very good reason for it: The categories are an eye sore to look at!

I do not understand why there isn't a category per gamemode but there really should be. And if no one gives a damn about organizing them -understandeable- I am more than willing to do so and any adjustments that could be made to make it more user friendly.

Apart from that I am a big fan of longer more structured runs and I wondered if it has ever been thought to make a "All Gamemodes" run where you go in order thru all the practice of each gamemode in one single segment, for solo or coop, where you simply add the final time of each match for the run time.

the categories are currently being cleaned up, and you're free to run any kind of category you wish, there doesn't have to be a leader board for it. now, if you can get interest into a category like that, then we can revisit it. personally, i dont like the sound of a run like that simply because of smites lobby and loading times, you would spend over half of the run in loading screens and hardware would be a BIG factor in times.

i just realized you intended to add up game times of each for the longer run idea, so i honestly wouldnt be into that idea at all. again, you can run whatever you would like though!

Hi, I m ok with Grandpa, Hardwere ruin totaly the timer ! We can try to found an solution for that but ... Smite is not a story game of course is short, we can maybe try to adapte a run for event, i remember an event story beat them up so why not at this moment. The real problem this event is limited so we can't run all the time

yeah event related speedruns are generally a no go because of their limited availability.

I might give a try to the all gamemodes run. As I said with the adding in-game time, as we already take IGT instead of RTA for the runs, would ignore the problems of toaster PCs. But I can understand all the loading for how short the individual runs are can be annoying and slow.
