@Alaeus do you know how many secret stars there are in the game?

There are 18 secret stars. I tried a secret star run on my own and got an hour with a game over at the end(im not that good). It seems like a better idea then the luigi rescue becuase the whole game is included, not just the beginning few galaxies.

Ok, so I know this forum has been dead for a while, but I'd like to ask the mods to respond or at least say if there's a possibility new categories may be allowed. I believe many great ideas have been presented here and I'd at least like some clearance on whether or not this is a possibility, because if it is, I will definitely do some runs and submit them here. Thanks.

I would suggest for each "level" (galaxy) that there is a miscellaneous tab or its own page for each star in the galaxy.

Or a category for each dome, like terrace or Fountain categories, Any% or 100% for each dome

You don't need a leaderboard for a category in order to run it. Just do runs yourself and ask others to do the same. If the category is interesting enough and it has enough competition we might add it. Individual domes already exists.

Might try and run some secret stars runs on stream this evening, let's see if I can get this rolling. Tbh it has that "easy controllable" factor, peculiar routing and spans the game, so I see this as a promising candidate à la Green Stars for SMG2.

I believe we might need more top runners. I'll just ask those i know if they're interested in a small project of mine now.

It's not an official category yet but we are doing some runs of it so it can become one. You're very welcome to try it out if you'd like!
