This guide includes a few different variations of Dark Ending WW routes. The main factors that set them apart is which character(s) they use, and to what extent they use the bandage duplication glitch in order to unlock things early on.
As mentioned, this category makes use of a glitch called bandage duplication, which allows you to access parts of the game’s memory in strange unintended ways. This guide will not explain why these routes works as they do, but rather just what you need to do in order to execute them.
Dark Ending WW (Dr. Fetus, Raptureless) Route
This is a route for Dark Ending WW which unlocks the Dr. Fetus character early on, and relies on him for most of the run. It is arguably the easiest Dark Ending WW route, as it doesn’t feature Naija and also has no extended manipulation.
Route:
Enter the warp zone in 1-5 and collect the bandage in the first level. On the second level you want to collect the bandage twice. In order to do this you need to press space quickly after reaching bandage girl and then press the replay level button. After this you should have collected 3 bandages in this warpzone and may finish the warp zone normally.
From now until the end of forest, you should refrain from exiting the chapter.
Beat 1-10, and without exiting to the map, continue and beat 1-11 three times while collecting the bandage all three times.
Beat the glitch zone, which should be unlocked at this point.
Beat 1-1 through 1-9 and 1-12 through 1-19. Now the Dr. Fetus character should be unlocked and you’ll want to use him basically everywhere you can.
Beat Lil’ Slugger.
Beat 1-1x through 1-10x and 1-12x through 1-19x.
From here until the end of the run, you have to beat 66 dark levels. In this route, rapture is not worth unlocking, so there aren’t many different good routes. I’d recommend sticking either fully to the route, or just changing it minorly.
Beat all of hospital through hell, except for 3-20 and 3-20x. Don’t beat Little Horn.
Beat 6-1 through 6-5 and Dr. Fetus. Right after skipping the credits, restart the game.
Beat 7-3 through 7-8, 7-3x through 7-8x, 7-17 and 7-17x.
Beat Dark Dr. Fetus.
Dark Ending WW (Dr. Fetus/Naija, Extended Manipulation) Route
This is a route for Dark Ending WW which unlocks the Dr. Fetus character early on, and if you choose to go out of your way very minorly also Naija. If you unlock Naija you will be using her for almost everything, but Dr. Fetus might come in handy on some levels. The Naijaless route relies on Dr. Fetus for most of the run. This route also includes a 2min+ bandage duplication grind, to the purpose of skipping Lil’ Slugger, Little Horn and 6-1 through 6-5.
Route:
Enter the warp zone in 1-5 and collect the bandage in the first level. On the second level you want to collect the bandage twice. In order to do this you need to press space quickly after reaching bandage girl and then press the replay level button. At this point you should have collected 3 bandages in this warpzone and may finish the warp zone normally.
From now until the end of forest, you should refrain from exiting the chapter.
Beat 1-1 through 1-20, collecting bandages in the following levels: 1-7, 1-9, 1-11, 1-13, 33 bandages in 1-18 and one final one in 1-20. During this process you may not exit to map. After this, the Dr. Fetus character should be unlocked and if you’re going Naijaless, you’ll want to use him basically everywhere you can.
Beat the glitch zone, which should be unlocked at this point.
(if Naija) Beat 1-1x through 1-5x. Reenter the chapter. This will unlock Naija.
Beat the rest of forest dark world. Don’t beat Lil’ Slugger, hospital will be unlocked already at this point.
From here until the end of the run, you have to beat 65 dark levels. Routing is a little bit free, so changing it based on your personal strengths and weaknesses could be worth considering. The following levels are just a suggestion.
(if Naijaless) Beat all of hospital through hell, except for the light and dark levels of: 2-14, 2-15, 2-20, 3-20, 4-1, 4-2 and 4-20. Don’t beat Little Horn, rapture is already unlocked.
(if Naija) Beat all of hospital through hell, except for the light and dark levels of: 3-18, 3-19, 3-20, 4-19 and 4-20. Don’t beat Little Horn, rapture is already unlocked.
(if Naija) Beat 5-4 through 5-7 and 5-4x through 5-7x.
Beat 5-11 through 5-16 and 5-11x through 5-16x.
Go to the end and beat Dr. Fetus. Right after skipping the credits, restart the game.
(if Naijaless) Beat 7-3 through 7-8 and 7-3x through 7-8x.
Beat Dark Dr. Fetus.
